Does JD2 rely on the Twitter API to fetch and download stuff?
I just saw an announcement that Twitter will be ending free access to the Twitter API on 9 February.
I'm basically an idiot when it comes to these things so I don't know how any of these mostly work. But I'm just wondering if this is going to affect Twitter media downloads using JD2? Part of me thinks JD2 uses scrapers and doesn't utilise the API but like I said, I don't know anything and just wanted to be sure. Thank you. |

Hi,
yes and no. We're using their Web-API which is the same their website is using. Of course they could also change that but we'll see. They're talking about the developer API which we are not using.

Hey, psp!
Thanks for the clarification. And yeah, just hope they don't go the Instagram route or worse but who knows what will happen these days. Cheers! |
