Hi,
I have been having this issue with jDownloader for over 4 years using Linux. Setting the font sizes makes it look worse. Regardless what distro or Desktop environment I use. @ 1920 x 1080 jDownloader look ok @ 3840 x 2160 jDownloader is tiny I have over 30 apps installed, all respect, whatever resolution I set. No issues with Mac or windows. @ 1920 x 1080 JDownloader look ok @ 3840 x 2160 JDownload is tiny Pika Back up @ 1920x 1080 scale set to 100 https://i.imgur.com/USnVgL7.jpg pika Backup @ 3840 x 2160 scale set to 200 https://i.imgur.com/eX7kMvI.jpg jDownloader @ 1920 x 1080 scale set to 100 https://i.imgur.com/fBSH9Hr.jpg jDownloader @ 3840 x 2160 scale set to 200 https://i.imgur.com/MpLc4dF.jpg Thanks Last edited by Blu24; 02.04.2024 at 07:06. |

@Blu24: Answer is easy,JDownloader doesn't yet support HighDPI. On Windows, there is windows internal feature to auto scale the UI, guess the same for Mac.
The current in use default theme doesn't support HighDPI but we're working on adding FlatLAF support which brings HighDPI support and then, once theme is properly supported, we can do the rest of work to bring fully HighDPI support. What exactly do you mean by *scale set to* ? A desktop setting or what? Also can you please provide screenshot of pika 200 scale, as at the moment it's same image as 100 scale

@Blu24: what desktop is that? wayland? if so, then Java/JDownloader only supports X11 right now and running via xwayland then. Also unsure if xwayland/java does support that window scaling of the desktop manager at all, so I need to know which one you are using

@Blu24: GDK_SCALE is supported by Java9+, see
wiki.archlinux.org/title/HiDPI#AWT/Swing or you use the Quote:
