How many chunks are you downloading with ??

soon as you download with chunks it pre-locates.

for example chunks 20 at 1GiB total filesize
chunks value - 1 = 19 total chunks of preallcoation
1GiB/20 = 50MiB * 19 = 950MiB

preallocating will require harddrive to store that data, it does this about that the 8MiB downloaded mark, after 8MiB and your harddrives are not fast it tends to have freezing/locking behaviour, whilst the allocation completes. If you disable to click stop (square on toolbar) it wont respond until preallocation completes. Also if you're saving across the network it can be slow! Or even in VM can be slow!

im only using 2 chunk because free user uptobox only support 2 chunk at 1 link, my total bandwidth is 350 kbps , kilo byte per second

so it needs to pre-allocate ~half of the download with 2 chunks (assuming the server supports chunk ranging) and the last chunk range expands as downloads.

If your downloads are failing for up2box I assume they might be effected be same issue.

We check if file exists on disk, and if its the same as we left it we resume

Bytes loaded on disk means jack squat, because preallocation is just full of empty data. This is why you can not resume data from JDownloader with another download program (outside one that does checksumming like classic p2p (bittorrent for example)).

The percentage shows that 637 MiB is 50% so you still need 637 MiB more.

you are downloading 224 file, and YES I am sure (no need to question my answer 100 times). Not sure how many times I have to say it! But here goes!!

The last chunk expands as you download. So if you download with 2 chunks and now downloaded 50% total, we can assume both chunks are ~25% complete.
1.24GiB/2= 0.62 . so chunk - starts at 0-0.62GiB all this is preallcoated, chunk 2 starts at 0.62-END this expands as it downloads. So total used space at this time (50% total download) = 0.62+(1.24/4) = 0.93GiB. so roughly speaking it matches your screen shot of 986 586 KB
