Default 0.9.334 Fresh Install - KIKIN plugin

In helping someone in another thread.

I installed a fresh copy into Vista.

The download link on the site was to uploaded.to

The Windows version is not an installable version ;( just a drag and drop.

The real issue is the kikin plugin, OK and CANCEL both attempt to install the plugin

How exactly is this happening?

As I understand it, you downloaded jdownloader.zip and unzipped it into an empty directory.

You have Java 6u21 or 6u20 preinstalled.

You change to the jdownloader directory and start the program by typing "jdownloader"

Please confirm that this is all correct.

I thought the kikin offer was only called from the installation program.

In the future, delete Jdownloader\tools\windows\kikin

Note: If you call an installer a second time it becomes an uninstaller, so that could cause the appearance of installation when you click on Cancel.

In times gone by, I downloaded jdownloadersetup.exe that installs the application.

This time, it is just a .zip file, that you can place anywhere you like.
Upon running jdownloader.exe in the zip file, it runs a config that allows you to select where to download files to. It also tries to install kikin.
6u21 is installed on the test Vista system.

Isn't a big deal, but having the option to NOT install it should be there.

hmm, well the issue for me along with the kikin trying to install each time is that each times it resets the install directory, and tells me it's the updated version each time.

You might try changing to Java 6u20 and see if that helps.

We had to put the exe into a zip because the exe file is blocked on uploaded. (hash compare).

Inside the Zip file, there is a JDownloaderSetup.exe
If I install jd using this exe, and I say NO to kikin, kikin is not installed.

So far..everything works as desired.

Is your problem stil present?

The new Jdownloadersetup_kikin.zip that is posted on the homepage contains the jdownloadersetup.exe and installs correctly and respects if you select no thanks to the kikin spyware

So problem solved!

Thanks!
