google search: square font site:board.jdownloader.org

its todo with fonts, not all fonts are made equal. so you will need to change it, just not there is no one size fits all situation. For example some will support some/all asian languages, but not have extensive european languages supported and vice versa.

Working fine here (Ubuntu 18.04, no special setup)
Fontname = default
You must have installed unicode supported fonts on your system

thanks, fixed installing arialuni.ttf on linux. It does require special setup because that font can't be shipped with linux so you have to download.

Worked fine for me out-of-the-box, Ubuntu 18.04, no special setup.
But thanks for the feedback!
