The GUI sometimes freezes after clicking on the Add Links button. Don't ask a log file, because I refuse logging. I'm a customer of the application and not a debugger
![]() This happens more often in the last update (0.4.936) than before. I'm keeping the Windows XP virus and Java up to date. The advantage of the freeze is that the downloads continue and the CPU consumption goes down considerably ![]() The disadvantage is that you can no longer interact with the application and the application can no longer interact with the customer. You finally need to kill it with the task manager, because most hosters still use these silly captchas ![]() |

I don't use the speedmeter (Display speedmeter graph). The Soundtheme is noSounds. ToolTipps are disabled.
I normally disable all addons, because I use jD only for downloading, but at the moment of the last freeze JD Chat and JDLightTrayIcon were enabled, contrary to what I specified and saved before. ![]() I'll check these addons after every startup and report when their status has changed again, as this could be another bug. |

Yes, remi is right! The GUI sometimes freezes after update 946 on the Add Link button. I cannot provide a log because I restart the GUI after freezing and the old log rewrites by a new one.

It's been happening to me too in the past week. It seems to happen at random. Links are added and the GUI just freezes. The window can be moved but that's all. I've noticed that any active downloads continue in the background and strangely JD does not show up as 'not responding' in windows task manager.

A couple of times I've had some links on the clipboard and clicked on the link collector.
Then ... nothing happens. And JD's interface is frozen, it does not respond to any commands or mouse clicks, or show any changes in progress. However, it's still downloading, I can see the size of files growing in the download folder. After a while I gave up waiting for it to come back and killed the process. It restarted normally, and pasting in the same links it accepted them normally. Her's the tail of the logfile: Code:

![]() I hope that the functionality of grabbing links in html code will be retained, because it is a very fast and efficient way of adding many links at once. ![]() I also hope the "Add mode" for links will be added. See my previous post in the suggestions forum. ![]() |

http://board.jdownloader.org/showthr...=3419#post3419 Note that normally you can't post a log, as you can't do anything in JD, unless you have changed the interface to "create logfile" earlier. I did that after it froze a few times before. But it doesn't look very helpful though. No error messages, just stops after I activate the LinkGrabber. |

If I was new to jD I would be highly alarmed at such behaviour, it smells of some sneaky malware. But I have faith it's a bug and not a deliberate abuse. |
