Up & Down buttons work only two times. After pressing third times in order to move a pack does not work.
I use xp with windowblinds. |

Wait.. isnt this happening for everyone? I thought the devs would be aware of this.
You select a file, press the up arrow, it moves the file or packet up and then "looses" the marked state for that item. Here is the log part for this: 20-Mar-2009 02:45:34 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(moveSelectedItems)] -> 0 - 1 20-Mar-2009 02:45:34 - FINER [jd.controlling.interaction.Interaction(handleInteraction)] -> Interaction start: Trigger: Linklist structure changed 20-Mar-2009 02:45:34 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable$2(actionPerformed)] -> REFRESH 20-Mar-2009 02:45:35 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(fireTableChanged)] -> REFRESH GUI COMPLETE 20-Mar-2009 02:45:35 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(moveSelectedItems)] -> 0 - 0 20-Mar-2009 02:46:01 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(moveSelectedItems)] -> 0 - 1 20-Mar-2009 02:46:01 - FINER [jd.controlling.interaction.Interaction(handleInteraction)] -> Interaction start: Trigger: Linklist structure changed 20-Mar-2009 02:46:01 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable$2(actionPerformed)] -> REFRESH 20-Mar-2009 02:46:02 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(fireTableChanged)] -> REFRESH GUI COMPLETE 20-Mar-2009 02:46:02 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(moveSelectedItems)] -> 0 - 0 20-Mar-2009 02:46:02 - INFO [jd.gui.skins.simple.components.treetable.DownloadTreeTable(moveSelectedItems)] -> 0 - 0 So I guess the "Refresh Gui" is causing the loss of the marked state for the item. I marked a file, pressed up twice (only of of which worked) and than marked another item and pressed up twice again. Last edited by SoulSeekerHS; 20.03.2009 at 03:50. |

This has been happening from the beginning of the developments of JD. It is the proof that even developers don't use this functionality, otherwise they would have detected this old bug.
![]() Thanks to the drag and drop technique, that works very well, the customer can now easily circumvent this bug.:biggrin: As a customer of the application I would recommend removing these two buttons. Leave the two other buttons (last line/first line) as they are, because they work. It's better to concentrate on other, IMO more important issues, like the considerable CPU consumption, freezing GUI, column width memorisation, etc. Last edited by remi; 20.03.2009 at 13:52. |

Buttons are useful for me, fixing would be better.

Not that I would have any Java knowledge at all and I know I am over simplifying here... but I wouldnt be surprised if something like this would fix it:
Now its: Press Button->Move up+Refresh GUI Should be Press Button->Move up+Wait 2secs->Refresh GUI (only if button not pressed again within the 2secs) That would allow me to press the Up Button several times without the marked item loosing its marked state. Would be a huge improvement over the old behaviour. But if its a difficult problem that you just cant figgure out, I'm with remi... leave it and move on to the next bug. |
