Well, after clicking the "check updates"-button and downloading the available update, JD2 is showing the "Install Update"-dialog, and I'm clicking on "Install now" and then switch to the browser to do other stuff.

Then JD2 is closing and reopening, and while it's doing the updating after opening, JD2 is constantly stealing focus and popping into the foreground, even if I try to switch back to the browser (or other program).

I'm all for updating, but not really interested in watching progress bars move to the right.

UpdateSettings.updateguialwaysontop is set to false

Tried deleting core and temp, jd is downloading some update but then gets stuck again when trying to validate installation.

Problem solved now: Going to temp folder and searching file jdownloader.jar; Copy this file to your main Jdownloader directory, run update...

Works fine for me.

Delete the core is not necessary, because the problem is only with the folder tmp I didn't say nothing of core in my previous post, because he had deleted this file before, but you not need to delete the core, only the folder tmp and then run JDownloader.jar

Only a quick question. Did you installed JD and Java in a clear system? I mean, was the first install for Java.

Because I observed in a Virtual Machine, that this error occurs when I install those programs the first time, and the error dissapears when I restart the SO of the virtual machine.

hello .. I just want to confirm if there are problems with the update server?
last night and this morning I get a window in which JD2 asks me to choose the connection mode to perform the upgrade, always choose to live, but reappears, after several attempts telling me I have the latest version ...
in the Spanish forum mentioning another user also has similar problems, which is why I have come to ask ...
Greetings and thanks in advance as always ...

I need some help as well. I tried deleting the tmp folder and reinstalling.
Something's terribly wrong.
I reported it here: http://board.jdownloader.org/showthr...741#post249741
and here: http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=47447
but got no response.
Anyone can offer some advice?

I'm running the JD1 nightly version, will it be updated to JD2 as someone mentioned on the other forum or do I have to manually instal JD2? I want to keep my settings (those of the nightly)

Once JD2 is done, all JD1 will automatically be updated to JDownloader 2 but as long as JDownloader 2 is still in the BETA state you will have to install it manually, see my signature down below and the BETA FAQ.
