Is it possible to update a single plugin without updating the entire "core" or other plugins?

Nevermind, the full core update did not affect the other plugin as I thought it would...all good

plugins update silently without the requirement for client restart, Core updates will require a client restart after update. But if a plugin requires a component/function of a new core update it creates a build block and core update is required.
