@reddevil:
I can't download your files because they have reached public sharing limit or just fail(nothing happens in browser)

Please see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...roubleshooting

I will also wait for pspzockerscene to check upon this. He's more familiar with the plugin/google drive support

I will leave this plugin to pspzockerscene. He can help you much better than I could as I don't have any idea how the plugin works and what is supported and what not.

I've recently tried to add a better detection of situation "User tries to download private file and is lacking permissions to do so".

It looks like this handling is sometimes executed instead of the "Quota reached" handling.
While I have some ideas I was unable to find the exact point of failure with the provided log.

Please provide the following information:
  • More fresh links which fail in JD with error "Insufficient permissions"
  • A fresh logID

Log: 09.12.22 01.25.11 <--> 09.12.22 01.29.29 jdlog://9761311370661/

Error got triggered while downloading the above first 3 links in parallel (hopefully log caught it). Sometimes single links starts downloading but if another or more are started in parallel then the insufficient error pops up and stops. Tried more than 6 links in parallel via browser under same google account and works fine.

@reddevil : I'm unable to reproduce the issue either. Can you please set max downloads to 1 and create a fresh log (restart JDownloader) so the log contains downloads in easier to read order

@pspzockerscene I am also experiencing the same problem with some Google Drive links.

I've created a log:

11.12.22 23.18.42 <--> 11.12.22 23.30.26 jdlog://6471311370661/

Here are the three links that failed in that particular logged session:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

These are not the only Google links that I have experienced the error with.

@beechcott:
Thanks for the logs. Due to unknown reason google redirects the final downloads again to the login page.
What browser did you use to export your cookies? did you visit google.com and then export the cookies? tried with fresh pair of cookies?

I hadn't before, but I did now after reading your post (using Firefox). It made no difference.

I'm sorry but we weren't able to locate the problem yet.
It looks like for some reason, all of the suddon on download-attempt it looks like you're not logged in anymore though your session cookies are clearly still valid.
Also we haven't been able to reproduce this issue so far...

I'm sorry that it took me so long to respond. I didn't see your newest posts until now.

I'm not using a VPN or proxy.

The error doesn't happen when I try it with small files of about 1 GB or so (at least those that I've tried), but it happens when I try to download large ones (10+ GB). One time, a particular large file started to download once (after previously failing and giving the error message many times), but the download failed shortly in and trying to resume and to restart it both gave the error message again.

Default Large video files on Google Drive downloading as small, low-bitrate ones instead

I was experiencing the problem described in this other thread for a long time:

https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?p=515229

As far as I know, it was never fully fixed. But in any case, it seems to have gone away for me, but to have been replaced by a new problem. Whenever I try to download large video files from Google Drive, JDownloader seems at first to be properly downloading the file, but winds up downloading a smaller, low-bitrate version instead.

For example, I tried downloading this 10 GB mkv file:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

But it downloaded as a lower-bitrate 5.53 GB file instead. The file plays all the way through, but is of much lower picture quality than the file that should have downloaded.

I also tried downloading this 23.79 GB, 1080p m2ts file:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

But the downloaded file was a mere 1.49 GB. One again, it played all the way through, but is a low-bitrate 720p file.

I tried uploading a log, but got this error:

Code:
jd.http.Browser$BrowserException: Caller: org.jdownloader.jdserv.JDServUtils.uploadLog(JDServUtils.java:37)

Small update on this problem:

We haven't fixed it yet but we've identified it as a login problem where the google login is only working "half way" so this will trigger that distracting errormessage in the end.

Workaround: Delete(!)- and re-add the google drive account(s) you were using to download.

Do not expect a bugfix for this in the near future!

That's correct.
I've posted another reply into the other thread and provided a possibly temporary workaround.

This can only happen for two reasons:
1. Under Settings -> Plugins -> drive.google.com -> "Select preferred video quality" you selected anything other than "Original file".
2. You got "Allow stream download if original file can't be downloaded due to a quota limit" enabled and that fallback gets triggered somehow.
This could theoretically even be related to the problem described in your old thread.
You can disable this setting and check what will happen then.
EDIT
I've just updated our Google Drive troubleshooting article to include the above mentioned hints.

To investigate this further, I'd need a full log (logID).

Your logs are stored in [JD install dir]/logs

I tried the workaround (deleting and re-adding the account), but it didn't work.

The second is the case. "Allow stream download if original file can't be downloaded due to a quota limit" was enabled. I disabled it, then restarted JDownloader to start a new session and tried re-downloading the files. This time, the files wouldn't download at all, and I got the "Insufficient permissions: Private file" error. I then tried the file deletion and re-adding workaround again, only to receive the same error again.

My previous log folder turned out to be too large, which was probably what caused the problem. I've uploaded a log from my new session.

Here's the info:

@beechcott
Merged Google Drive threads because the underlying issue is still the login bug.

For the next update, I've added 3 debug settings into the Google Drive plugin settings for further testing two of which are related to this issue.
So after the next CORE-update, please try the following:
Enable these plugin settings:
- Debug: Perform extended account check?
and:
- Debug: Force validate login on every linkcheck/download attempt (will slow things down)?

-> Then do this:
1. Refresh your google drive account in JD -> Does it still work or is it now displayed as "Invalid session"?
If your google drive account is still displayed as valid, proceed:
2. Attempt to download again.
Does it work now?

If it still doesn't work, please provide a new log.

Bitte auf das nächste CORE-Update warten!
