Default Access via my.jd when using a SmartDNS?

I'm successfully using a SmartDNS with JD, bypassing some geo-blocking, but I can't seem to connect to my JD instance via my.jdownloader, it just doesn't show up there and it reports 'Not Connected! Reson: SERVER_DOWN' in the my.jd settings in jdownloader. Is there a way around this while still being able to use a SmartDNS?

If your JDownloader does not show up in the myjd interface either our servers were down or your configured JDownloader is unable to communicate with myjdownloader.
