Channel name missing?
Is there a wildcard for the youtube channel?
I tried *VIDEO_NAME* "CHANNEL" Got the video name like normal. Would like to get the channel with it? |

All of them.
But if you need one. I guess here. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** In this case the channel would be called - RyanMoody21 Plus make sure I'm doing this right I'm changing the - Youtube: Video Filename Pattern under advance settings At this time I have *VIDEO_NAME* "CHANNEL" I don't even know if "CHANNEL" is a valid wildcard I just tried it to see if it would take it. Oh on the LinkGrabber screen I'm looking under the field called. "Name" Last edited by jondavis; 12.01.2021 at 15:52. |

Channel Name pattern works fine here. You have to use

In case it still fails, please provide a debug log. Enable Settings->Advanced Settings->Log.debugmodeenabled and restart JDownloader
re-add the link (no download) and after channel name missing, create log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post logID here

Your pattern is invalid! It looks like a different star

Check your screenshot, the Tags look different.

Your right- was using quotes instead of a star - will see if that fixes it.

That should fix it quotes are not supported at all

Can you copy/paste your pattern here?
Also please provide a log like described. Also add some dummy text into the pattern to see if the pattern is valid. If the resulting name doesn't your dummy text, then it falls back to default pattern

here is another screen shot
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** I think I got surrounding tag right now I tried putting in dummy text did not get any dummy text went back to the default and added dummy text that worked added *CHANNEL* to the default line and dummy text was gone or not working so looks like for me *CHANNEL* is a bad wildcard or something better start on that log file |

One last question now that I got it working right.
Is there a wild card for the date a video was posted? |

Use 'Settings > Plugins' to change YT settings and file/package name patterns. It also contains the list of variables which can be used.
