Default Adding [Shutdown after downloads] to Schedule.

Hello,

I hope that you can make this feature.
I mean enable/disable shutdown the PC after download complement in a scheduled time.

Can this be done?

You cannot schedule shutdown at a precise time, but use the JD Shutdown extension. It'll activate the chosen action (called 'Mode') as soon as all links are downloaded or stuck.

I know that my dear,

but sometimes I stop downloading while I'm using the pc, then I forget that it will shutdown and I don't press cancel button.
It happend more than 3 times until now...

So, I just want to active that action only when I go to sleep...
and then deactivate it when I wake up

I hope you got it :-D

For now, change the action for JD shutdown to Hibernate or none. If you set it to none, set it to hibernate before bed.

Do not stop JD if you can avoid it. Try setting a speed limit (lower right corner).

The next major release of JD will have an option to reset the shutdown option to None automatically every time JD starts.

Wow, I would have liked to see your face when it happened the first, the second and certainly the third time.

jD can't know whether you're sleeping or not. A developer of such an extension would need to analyse the signals from electrodes that are placed on your face and head to record your muscle tone, eye movements, and brain waves and then decide whether you're sleeping or not.

I use a tool that reminds me of all sorts of things that I need to do/check on a periodic basis. If you've a regular, daily working/sleeping scheme, then this could help as well.

Do you want shut down or hibernate?

Does this need to happen regardless of whether your downloads are finished?

If you want to shut down your computer at a particular time, you can use the OS's commands and task scheduler.

If you shut down your computer then you'll lose the status information of your links, because jD only saves that data every 10 minutes. Worse, if jD is downloading a non-resumable file it'll have to restart the download from the beginning.

It doesn't matter, but I prefer Hibernate

I mean when there is a connection problem, and all downloads are failed.
At this time, instead of being running, I want it to hibernate of shutdown
I hope you got it.

Don't worry, I don't download from non-resumable downloading servers

So you want JDShutdown extension to only kick in when scheduler stops downloads, but not when you/JDownloader stops them? Or did you mean something different?

I think JDShutdown extension should be a part of the scheduler extension because my computer won't turn off when scheduler stops.
I have no problem with IDM since it turns off when downloads are finished or scheduler stops:

Did you enable the JDShutdown Extension and activate it? (you have to activate it again after each restart). See Settings-JDShutdown->Keep shutdown enabled
You can enable/disable in Menubar-Tools-Enable Shutdown after Downloads

At least 1 download must have been running for shutdown extension to work. This avoids JDownloader shutting down computer for ppl that enable shutdown and start JDownloader with empty download list

Believe me, it doesn't work:

1. Enable JD Shutdown plugin.
2. Add new 10GB file to the download list (Don't start!)
3. Set the scheduler from 10:00PM to 10:01PM when the time is 9:58PM

JD starts at 10:00PM and will stop at 10:01PM but it won't shutdown since the file hasn't downloaded completely.
So the computer won't shutdown after 10:01PM and that's the problem I'm talking about.

The ShutDown Extension must be enabled AND activated! Did you activate it manually or in Extension Settings that it is auto activated?
For the Shutdown Extension to kick in, there must be at least a single started(mustn't be completed) download and the Shutdown must also be activated.

Just tested: working fine here
