jDownloader is great in general, but excruciatingly slow downloading big Youtube videos. I have been told before (above) that it is due to Youtube limitations.

Yet other applications like 4K*Video*Downloader at
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
do not have such limitation and download Youtube videos at top speed.

It would great, fantastic and awesome if jDownloader could do it as well. Thanks!

Why has been my message deleted concerning slow jDownloader downloads from Youtube, which has been solved by other applications like 4K Video Downloader? I will appreciate a reply. Thanks.

@jDoX
message wasn't deleted, just caught by the spam module which then requires manual approval before been made public.

speed can vary, some videos/streams are downloaded in small segments (hds/hls like) these are slow to download vs say mp4 in dash or non dash format. Just need to avoid the respective itags which are delivered over that medium.

Hi raztoki, thanks for the reply. Whatever, the very same video is downloaded slowly (200 kbps = 25 KB/s) by jDownloader, but at top 200 Mbps (25 MB/s) or faster (top line speed) by other applications like 4K Video Downloader. So, as said, it would be great if jDownloader could implement also such downloading technology.

It's not enabled by default to prevent yt removing/changing it much faster when many ppl use it, as it increases load on their servers.

i was complaining about this this summer regarding the slow downloading, god bless you ill try to test it tonight since im addicted to binding of isaac videos now and ill report later tomorrow

jd initally slowed speeds on 2+ hours files (some people piece together 3-4 runs in a row at times) hence losing valuable time for the night for me to get other files

if this would be possible, is there a hidden way or something to speed up youtube crawling? it does like 1-2 files per second (im assuming because of the variants?)

youtube blocks you if you scraping at fast speeds, there are sleeps in place which prevent the blocking.

First time on the forum and I want to thank you millions of times for every code written and every effort made by those who developed the Awesome JDownloader , thank you all ..

I used JDownloader on Windows 7 and it worked perfectly so far , yet when I used it recently on Windows 10 , I encountered two issues

First issue:
YouTube links, they suddenly freeze and restart downloading from the beginning and they rarely finish downloading , I even rechecked their online status one by one , also used the Force Download Start option , yet nothing changed at all , same issue all the time for 5 days now, and it shows me this status: X Try restarting this link(plugin outdated?)

Log:
28.11.16 05.21.09 <--> 28.11.16 05.33.49 jdlog://2707091887641/

Second issue:
It is a GUI related issue , and it happens when Mouse hovering over Arabic Titles in JDownloader's Downloads list , it keeps freezing and moves slowly ,even right clicking a link or a title on the list takes few seconds to respond !!!

I already changed the font scale factor to 125 to resize it for a better look , also changed the font name to Dialog to make it able to display Arabic titles in a proper way right after installing JDownloader , but even when I restored the font scale to 100 it didn't change anything at all , it remains freezing the same way it is, and I won't try to use Default font name because it will display Arabic in an unreadable gibberish..

Hoping those issues can be fixed soon

Thanks for reading , and sorry for such much lines

@Hussein.Alkhayatt:
Please provide example links with arabic title so we can check it.
It only happens on mouse over?
Also try to set max connections to 1, I see network issues in your log. You are using too many connections!

@vanhelsing:
There are many network issues like read timeouts or connect timeouts
As this error happens for other hosts as well I think the issue is caused by ISP or your local firewall/Av
