Nevermind, it's working fine now.
I forgot to save the log, but I remember seeing the red stop sign and "Plugin Error (out of date)".
One of the line in the log says to report it to the JDownloader support forum or something.

Confirmed

@Uploading
You only LOSE money by blocking JD.
Why don't you understand it ?
You have no downloadmanager for your premium members and i wouldn't want to access every link via browser if i had uploading premium so you only hurt yourself by blocking JD or other downloadmanagers.

I don't know if uploading admins are reading this but they should

New information: This is only a problem when logging in. See my other post in a side-sub-thread.
Anonymous users have no trouble using JD with uploading.com.
So, if you un-check the account on the Premium page, you won't get the error. The download will be 10 times slower and the daily total more restricted.
________________

We can be pretty sure they don't read this. I think they just make random changes, because somebody has itchy fingers or wants the page to be "prettier".

I remember that your team fixed it and it worked for less than 2 days.

In an attempt to help, I am providing a sample log.
Sample URLs:
Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**
You could check the user's domain during IP-check and display a message if the domain is "uploading.com". The message could be a request for assistance in using their API to support their users. As you said, it would be in heir best interest, especially when competing with RS, HF, and MU.

Thank you, that is a big help.

I can confirm that when log-in is turned off, uploading.com works.

uploading.com has three types of users:
anonymous (not logged in) with many restrictions,
registered free (signed-up and logged in) with more lenient restrictions, and
premium (paid).

Apparently, anonymous (not registered, or at least not signed in) works.

So un-check (un-tick) your uploading.com account until this is dealt with.

The are discriminating against their PREMIUM members!

It is probably technically against the user agreement, but that won't help them get paying members.

uploading.com has been working some of the time, and not working other times.

Yesterday, I set-up a test (so I could send you a log), and it worked (not what I expected).

Right now, I am using uploading.com as an anonymous user, and that is working. Do you want a log and links of it working?

Actually, at the moment that would be difficult. The new Log tab (hidden in the "?" menu) isn't displaying anything (I have logging level set to ALL). But that is a different issue.

I have never used uploading before so I assume that by default I am anonymous user. It does not work and reports the "plugin out of date" error.

Hi

Is the update available yet?

Thanks.

Maelstrom

Edit: I've downloaded and installed JDownloader again in the hope that it would be updated, to no avail. I've tried downloading the update through JDownloader several times and it's saying there are no updates available...

Cool

Jiaz said wait for update.

To wait means "to remain stationary in readiness or expectation" or "to look forward expectantly" (source: merriam-webster).

When the update is published you'll get the update. It can take hours, days, weeks or months.

u-ser:

1) Make sure you have installed the most up-to-date version of JD.
2) Make sure "Downloads & Connections | Download Control | Maximum simultaneous downloads per host" is set to 1 (I believe the default is 4). This will slow things down slightly on premium hosts, but you probably won't know it.

When you get a "Plugin Error (out of date)", try Resume or Enable (whichever is available at the time). If the file is empty, you can also try Reset. If more than one link is active with the host (waiting, etc.) select them all and then try Resume or Enable. You may have to wait until all of the waits are completed before Resume or Enable will work (when the host is busy and not accepting new transfers, JD tries to connect, gets the message it recognizes as Host-Busy, and the link waits, but the next link then starts up and gets the same error, etc.).

-------------------------------------

Staff (Remi?):

There appears to be a bug in JD. When a link is in a wait state, often the host slot is not locked and other links then try to connect as well. If Link-A gets a Host-Busy response, then the link is busy, but host slot is not. So, Link-B tries to connect and gets the Host-Busy response - and so on (etc or usw). This is not good for JD, Users, or (especially) he host. Even Premium users will occasionally get a Host-Busy response (sometimes an HTTP 4xx or 5xx code [408, 500, 502, 503, or 504, depending on the server]).

Suggestions:

a) When a host is busy, the connection that is waiting should keep the Host-Slot locked for the duration of the wait. It does not.
b) When a host tells a connection to wait X seconds, the host-slot should be locked, even if this is the beginning of the connection. It does not.
c) There is a period of time after completion of a transfer during which the host is not ready for a new connection (especially from the same user) [0.5-10 seconds]. This time includes updating the database that keeps track of user activity, recycling the connection related objects, etc. (usw). There appears to be no wait, so the new connection attempt starts immediately.
d) The UI should indicate (for other transfers) "Waiting for transfer to complete". This is a temporary condition (INFO), not an error.
e) If the host says "try again later", an incremental back-off (like ethernet) should be used. I believe this is currently done.

Although I understand some bits and pieces of your post, it's way too technical for me. We'll have to wait for Jiaz or another developer.

Note that I do not belong to the jD Team/Staff. I'm just a simple customer.
