Default Automatic resume hosters list

Is there any list on this forum for hosters that resume download automatically when connection is interrupted?

Right now I find that particularly annoying when downloading from Fileserve.

Apparently they do seem to allow download resume if you use their File Manager. Is that so?

Here is a partial list of "Resumable hosts".

That's an outdated (Last modified: 2010/05/05) list of supported hosts.

The list is incomplete and the information at detail level is wrong. I just checked http://jdownloader.org/hoster/megaupload.com and it says that MU links aren't resumable for free loaders and yesterday they were still resumable.

Yes, for now MU seems resumable.

It is a pity Netload is not resumable anymore.

You can't have Premium accounts everywhere, so everybody is quite likely a free-loader part of the time.

I think hosters should be aware the free-loading is advertising, and potential customers (like me) will not buy a Premium account on someone that treated them "badly" in the past.

But this is probably not the place to discuss that.

I think this matter is solved. Thanks.

PD: is there anything on the Fileserve Manager that "unlocks" the automatic resume that JDownloader can use?

Once I complained to FileServe about they not providing automatic resume, and they said that if I used their FileServe File Manager, I would have automatic resume.

I did download the Manager, but I never got to use it. The installation was too invasive, assumed actions I didn't want it to and it didn't give the choice to install just what you wanted.

But if in fact that Manager "unlocked" automatic resume, why can't JD?

Good question. Are you sure it is for free, not for paying downloaders?

jD supports resume for premium FSe accounts. If I remember well I think they dropped resume support for free loaders a few months ago.

I tried their download manager but it wasn't resume-able for me. I guess it's only working for their premium downloads.

As we already wrote they disabled it for freeusers.
If you don't like it, contact their support.
Note that coders are no wizards so if they disable resume for freeusers it's impossible for us to "skip" this limit;)

Filesonic has major issues with resuming. It has major issues with even starting a download under premium account using a download manager - regardless of which one it is. Files get corrupted with their web page, losing connection part way through the download and then download cannot be resumed.

I have had no such problems with Rapidshare. I use IDM and my daughter uses jDownloader for this site without ANY issues.
