everything working now perfectly
strangely enough I did all the "usual" steps to refresh & renew with-out any joy. I had read & followed all prior suggestions... none worked. I did see JD update after the last restart, so I'm still not sure what "was" wrong, but it matters no more as all is good. I only posted after waiting & trying for 2 days to fix problems on my own... I don't like asking for help.... but sometimes I'm over my head. I thank you all for your help on this matter, I was very frustrated (still with Filesonic), their "change-over" is a mess... thanks again echo donation sent |

An update... first file I downloaded was alright, at second file it gave me waiting time of 6 days and 22 hours.
I used a tcp/ip sniffer and I couldn't find anything wrong... <p>Please wait <strong id="countdown">10:00</strong> var countDownDelay = 600; And in the log I get: 31 11.08.2010 05:20:15 - INFO [java_downloader] -> Download quota has been reached In Firefox it works fine, BTW. No quota limit reached! And another thing, you might want to recode that user agent string to match that of the user's client... be it Windows/IE, Mac/Safari or Whatever/Firefox. Not that it would make a huge impact but your Ubuntu/Firefox agent string is easy to trace and hosters might be able to screw with people from time to time based just on that. |

No apologies needed. I think the filesonic.com is just too unstable at the moment.
Note that we all are sometimes overworked or stressed. Pspzockerscene takes Mentos pills and according to him it helps. I looked at your log. LOL thanks to the smileys. |

Filesonic.com not Reseting time delay properly
Hi,
I have been using this app for some time and love it although I am currently unable to donate due to fixed income. I think this is the right forum to post this in and I am also not sure if this fits into some of the other filesonic threads here as they are into specific to this problem and seem to be more generic. If not Admins please feel free to move to appropriate forum and or thread. The current problem even with updating today is that Jdownloader does not seem to be clearing the Filesonic.com cookies properly or returning info properly. I know filesonic is going through changes atm supposedly they have things sorted out but I am not sure they are still not working on their systems after the last merger they did. What is happening is I am getting one file to download with jdownloader and then jdownloader will put up the wait for 6 + days! I can go to the web site of the file link and it will ask for the regular download as I do not have a premium nor free account with them and it will count down for the 10 minute wait period and then download without a problem. jdownloader seems to be throwing up a cookie within itself that is then throwing up the six day wait timer. The only way for me to seem to get around this is to stop all downloads for more than an hour and then reset the file and then sometimes the timer cookie has cleared sometimes not. Another way for me to get around this is to download the individual file from a web browser, move the file into the jdownloader folder and restart so it see the file is already there and then move on to the next file from filesonic. The next file will download and then the same 6+ day timer will reset. This is very frustrating of course as one can imagine and I will patiently wait for a fix as this is a great program and you all have done a wonderful job over the years of maintaining and updating it. I have attached a zipped log file for you to look at. Thanks for your consideration and the ones able to donate are much appreciated also. Last edited by Statter; 11.08.2010 at 21:50. |

hmm interesting the title here says see bug tracker and when looking at the link
http://svn.jdownloader.org/issues/show/2186 It shows the status as Rejected if one looks at http://svn.jdownloader.org/projects/...rom=2010-08-09 One will see that it was Updated by jiaz 2 days ago • Status changed from New to Rejected • % Done changed from 0 to 100 So is this now a non issue or did someone set it improperly? I'm hoping to see this get fixed not Rejected without an understandable reason. |

 OK Slight adjustment to previous commented problem.
It seems I had to wait closer to three hours and had downloaded the one file from the web hosting site and added it to the the folder in the jdownloaders folder. I then stopped jdownloader rechecked for updates (there where none of course (too soon probably as I know you are all swamped). then I restarted jdownloader. Jdownloader then saw the files in the folder where already downloaded and intact and moved to the next set. Jdownloader started to download the first file just fine but, when it got to the second file in the set it again threw the 6+ day wait timer up. I'm attaching another Zip file with a fresher log and with two screenshots of the first file downloading fine and the next shot showing the timer set for 6+ days on the second file. Hope this clarifies a bit better and helps those doing the hard work on fixing problems. Thanks again for your consideration and hopefully this will be put back into bugtacker with a new bug description or the old one will get reinstated maybe. |

Hey i found out whats the main problem for jd not working with filesonic free:
it really IS the time difference of jd and the filesonic website... the sites downloadcounter runs for 10 minutes... well at least that what it shows us... actually these 10 minutes take approx. 10 AND A HALF MINUTE FOR THE FILESONIC SERVER! (i dont know in which time-zone they live atm...) because i have over 400 ( old sharingmatrix ) now filesonic-links i really have no patience waiting for the next update... i waited 3 updates so far and still jd wants to wait 6 days and 23hours between files... so i downloaded the source and found whats the problem there... in FileSonicCom.java at public void handleFree(DownloadLink downloadLink) Code:
/* * we have to wait a little longer than needed cause its not exactly * the same time */ if (Long.parseLong(countDownDelay) > 300) throw new PluginException(LinkStatus.ERROR_IP_BLOCKED, Long.parseLong(countDownDelay + 120) * 1000l); this.sleep(countDownDelay, downloadLink); whoever it was added the extra wait time ("+ 120") to the PluginException... BUT FORGOT to add it to the actual WAITING TIME.... changing it just like this: Code:
this.sleep((countDownDelay +60), downloadLink); completely fixes the filesonic-plugin! whit btw makes filesonic a pretty good host atm... 10min wait time between downloads no matter of the filesize... nice... i know this is probably the wrong place for this (at least i havent seen anyone else posting source code here) but i just want to offer anyone waiting impatiently a quick solution (well yes you have to get the sources from cvs first... but who cares...) Edit: Well apparently they are working on the site right now... now the regexp for "countDownDelay" stopped working... they changed their html-code... as a workaround i currently ignore any website countdown and just alwas let Code:
this.sleep(660000, downloadLink); Greets FBD Last edited by FBD; 12.08.2010 at 07:34. Reason: edit |

Thanks FBD for looking into it and pointing out the error.
I have been playing with Eclipse a bit and think I have all the pieces but, it is a weird app for me to wrap my head around atm, as I keep breaking the file in question. O well maybe something sis still not configured right yet. Anyway I'm glad you took the time to post what you did and I'm sure the coders also appreciated the extra eyes as sometimes we all need them. pspzockerscene, thanks for your patience, understanding and update. I'll be grateful for the update release when it comes.
