So once I download that older file do I take out the current ones and put these in it's place? Also can you tell me the exact files I need to download from there?

Best solution would be to place the ffmpeg and ffprobe that you've downloaded and place somewhere else(eg create new folder) and then change Settings-Advanced Settings-search for ffmpeg and ffprobe and set the new path (including ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe.exe) so the files won't be overwritten with future updates.

I'll have to try that later this evening. Do I download it from the page that link opens to? I also have the earlier version of JD2 saved on an external drive. Would those have what I need to make it work? Another question is could it be that I have too many links in linkgrabber? I'm not sure if there is a limit.

The number of links is mainly limited by available memory to Java/JDownloader. You can easily check if memory is short in about dialog of JDownloader. There you'll find 3 numbers. In case the 2nd one is near the 3rd one, then it's time to increase memory settings in Java or cleanup list. JDownloader is able to manage millions of links with correct setup/settings.
just download rwijnsma.home.xs4all.nl/files/ffmpeg/ffmpeg-N-86763-g341f012-win32-static_legacy.7z and put the ffmpeg and ffprobe files any location and then setup the paths in Settings-Advanced Settings-search for ffmpeg/ffprobe . In case you've got an older installation (1month or older) of JD2, you can use the binaries from tools/windows/ffmpeg folder as well.

I was able to download the new files but I'm not sure how to change them in the advanced settings. Do I just type in the new path? The new files are in My Documents folder name ffmpeg-N-86763-g341f012-win32-static_legacy. I also looked to check my memory but I didn't see any numbers relating to how much memory is left. I included screenshots of both here.

ffmpeg: Yes, just type in the new path including ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe. When you hit enter, JDownloader will validate the path
memory: in your about dialog you'll see three numbers in java line. the 2nd one is near/same as 3rd one. that means the memory usage is at its limit. You should increase available memory. In your JDownloader folder you should find a .vmoptions file Close JDownloader and open the .vmoptions file with notepad remove any existing Xmx or Xms line and add new -Xmx1g to allow max up to 1GB memory then start JDownloader again and the last (3rd) number in java line in about dialog should reflect the increased memory

Thanks for all your help. The memory increase sounds like it will help this issue as well as cleaning out linkgrabber.

I tried to increase the memory. I found 3 .vmoptions files. One was just labeled JDownloader and the other two were labeled as backups for it. I just changed the main file but the Java numbers didn't change. Am I supposed to do the same for the backup files too?

Can you show content of the file? You can change all .vmoptions file but most important is the file for the launcher (JDownloader)

I attached a screenshot of the files in that folder. You'll see the .vmoptions files in there and when I open them with notepad this is what it shows
-Xms64m -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -Xms64m -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false |
