This is the router I have and this script doesn't seem to be working for me. I am also terrible at this and am possibly (and probably) making some stupid mistake. Any suggestions?

Please check to make sure you have the correct username and password. Also check the router IP address.

If that does not fix the problem, figure out how to connect and disconnect the router from your ISP using your browser and then record a script yourself. Read "Getting Started with Reconnection" for instructions.

Some of the steps could depend on your ISP. For example, these two steps:

But seriously. I'm really behind on my tech-jargon and tried as best I could to follow that post, which led me to letter G) If nothing works - which led me here. Any way you could guide me, step-by-step, in the simplest terms you can? I really would appreciate it. Trying to download 44 .rar files while waiting an hour in between each one is really a drag...

Could you please start telling what you tried and where it failed? Just copying a script and praying or hoping that it works obviously doesn't help.

Are you sure you've a dynamic IP address?

Did you try to reconnect in your router's web page, without using jD's recorder?

When it succeeded in your browser, did you try to record a script with jD?

I'm pretty sure I don't have a dynamic ip, but that post said reconnection was still possible. I tried to find the way to reconnect via my router's page so I could have jd record it but I couldn't find one. I understand that just copying a script and praying in most case would not work, but I assumed (since I obviously am not clear on all this) that since this specific script was written for the same router I have, it would work.

If you don't have a dynamic IP address, in your case I would forget about the reconnect feature.
