I suspect JD is attempting connections to proxies way too fast, which gets my IP banned by my proxy provider after a few minutes.

I can't be certain but I'd like some insight from the devs. Is there some option to throttle the amount of retries in a row like this? I couldn't find any such option in the advanced settings.

Note: in the logs attached, my creds have probably already been banned, but I'm posting this to show that it seems to be retrying too many times in a short period of time.


Now the actual bug: whenever the proxy doesn't respond, the main JD download list is stuck for that particular item. Can't stop the download anymore, it stays on "starting" forever, presumably the proxy is retrying the same host over and over again (although it could also be cycling through others in my added proxy list, but the end result is the same).

When I click on the big "Stop all downloads" button, it goes grey, but nothing happens, the item is still stuck at "Starting". No matter what I try with it afterwards, it's still stuck.



Would be nice if this could be forced to stop. Right now the only workaround is to restart JD completely.

Sorry for mentioning two potential bugs in one post.

1) Too many connection attempts in a short period of time
2) If proxy is unresponsive (timeout or other issue), download item in download list is stuck at "Starting"
