@ezy

original Sr1y2 adfly > 726a05ec linkbucks > Sr1wZ adfly > a499a95d linkbucks > Sr1vI adfly > a08fe497 linkbucks > Sr1sk adfly > and finally goes to a google docs url. works as intended.

I'd make sure your JD2 is fully up to date, some times core updates downloads prevent installation of plugins to take place until next restart. If you disable restart in configs. Some exe binary loaders are blocking updates also, you can close jd, run jd via jdownloader.jar, click update, restart jd after update.

For me (svn) it stops at first linkbucks, no error message, last log:

<html><head><title>Object moved</title></head><body>
<h2>Object moved to <a href="**External links are only visible to Support Staff**>here</a>.</h2>
</body></html>

Doesn't showed JD2 the message if you wanted to use HTTP or HTTPS?

1. Close JD2
2. Search the file: subconf_adf.ly.ejs into the folder cfg > \JDownloader2\cfg
3. Start JD2

When you add the links JD2 will ask for HTTP or HTTPS.

If that doesn't work, please wait for a developer's reply.

If this comes a problem, I'll change the code to save in saved in memory vs saving permanently within configs. Would mean it would prompt you once every time you start JDownloader when you import adf.ly link.

@raztoki
In the plugin settings could be possible to add the setting for HTTP or HTTPS?

@Lram32
not really without creating a hoster plugin.

Last night I changed how the plugin works, so it now asks you each time you (re)?start the program. Does not save to configs.

@tony2long
read above ;p need to wait for updates to come out for jd0.9. alternatively you could hack up the configs/, not so easy even for the brave.

Default Please select your default protocol

Hi

For some reason JD keeps asking me this

Please select your default protocol: http or https

I select it.

But then after some JD restarts it would do this again.

I think it does it after every self update..

Would be good if it remembered the setting

Until I know It's only for adf.ly links, that's how raztoki has defined the plugin.

Yap...but I agree with the user, it should not ask so many times.
Add an advanced settings so advanced users can change it whenever they want to.

psp

as a one time event it was too difficult for users to revert setting if required, each start you (on first link you need to set once and away you go). Stable its next to impossible to edit config, JD2 most ppl have no idea either.

Plugins should not set advanced settings, as that is JD version specific (JD2) and plugins are not.

Does it matter what type of protocol it uses?
http or https? Not sure what the purpose of this setting is for..
I just use unsecured..but I don't think alot of ppl know what the setting does or what it refers to..

If it works for either than why not just leave alone instead of asking..

Perhaps put it as a setting for adfly plugin
or put in settings > plugin setting

I prefer if u can put an option like
-don't ask me any more...etc..
So anyone who don't want to be bug by this can disable it permanently..

Previous JD never ask me this, now it asks each time, which is annoying if you don't care what protocol method it uses or what exactly the setting does..
I don't think too many ppl know what it does when they make their choice.

Because some people are blocked without it, HTTPS is required for them. Set it once it wont ask you again for that session, Dont set it, it will timeout and use your imported protocol but will ask you next time you import a link (until it's set). Far as I'm aware decrypter plugins can not have presence in plugin settings (placement within settings panel), if they could we could do a better setting option like we do for many other plugins. If one reads the dialog text it clearly explains what you are been asked to choose.

It would be good if u put
a checkbox "do not display this any more"
so anyone that don't care can permanently disable this..

This would have to be the most annoying thing each time it JD bugs me and I am sure many other people as well.

Some people just want to start JD without getting ask the same question each time. And being ask to make the settings again each time.

If a fix/ update can be made, it would be good..

By putting dialog box it might make it easy for some percentage of users to easily change the option but it would annoy many others who don't care..

Also of those users who needs this would probably get tiresome to make the same setting each time

Please let us know if this can be fixed or will this be a permanent "feature"
