Default Slow download speed with rapidshare and JD

Hi! i'm using that amazing program to download but i have a problem!. I'm using a 10 mb adsl and the download speed is extremely slow with JD, always like 130 kb/S, when it should be 1 MB/s. That happens only with JD, with other download managers the speed is ok, what is the problem??? Thanks

Moved->Hoster-Plugins!
Are you a rapidshare.com free or premium user ?
If you're a freeuser the speed is absolutely normal!

Do you have a firewall installed ?
If so, did you set the java.exe and javaw.exe on the exclude list ?

Eset nod32 has a web scanner and this scanner is known to cause connection problems , it is also possible for it to cause low download speeds.

you can disable it through eset nod32's settings. Please disable it and let us know if disabling the scanner helps.

Same here (my speed is usually close to 3MB/s and is around 268KB with jdownloader). Using Avast, myself, but have it disabled.

Allow java.exe and javaw.exe in your firewall AND virus software.

Disabling a virus software sometimes isn't sufficient. Un-install it and reboot your PC to check whether it was the cause.
