[Solved] External Tool Reconnect - Wait for tool to complete/finish

My external tool (*.exe) does all the reconnect stuff. It takes it anywhere between 2-15 minutes to complete and a new IP is guaranteed.

I want JD to disable its internal new IP check and instead wait for the external *.exe process to complete/finish/quit/exit.

Is this possible?

I tried setting "Reconnect: IP Check Globally Disabled" to "true".

It stopped doing IP check but did not wait for the external *.exe process to complete/finish/quit/exit and then started downloading/resuming leading to "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" error.

In your cfg folder you will find
ExternBatchReconnect.json
or
ExternReconnect.json
Close JDownloader modify this file to include
"WAIT_FOR_RETURN5":-1,

{"WAIT_FOR_RETURN5":-1,
...}

That tells JDownloader to wait until the process has finished
At the moment it is complicated to change those settings. We already have a ticket for this

I've edited the "ExternReconnect.json" accordingly and added that line.

But also found another line:
"WAIT_FOR_RETURN_SECONDS" : 0

Should it be left as it is?
