Thank you, but just to clarify, this is not a request for audio track settings.

It's a report that the wrong audio track is being downloaded for the YT video. It's an English video, but JD is using the German audio for some reason.

(When you play it on YT, it will default to English)

I get what you're trying to say but in my browser, the default language of this video is german.
Even when I'm logged out it's german.

What you can try:
1. Delete this item in JD.
2. Add your youtube account to JDownloader.
3. Re-add that video, download it and chec what's the language now.
If it is still unchanged, I may create another ticket.
Maybe a "Set preferred audio language" setting will be needed in the end.

The YT website might automatically do that based on your OS- or browser language and/or based on the main country/language fo your Google account.

i have a movie that downloads ok but only able to select subtitle, this movies has multiple languagues and there's not option to select it, i guess JD get first languague youtube select, should be able to select languague as option for subtitles

and optional : option to select all languagues and subtitles as original source if possible.

JD loads the video (mp4 1080p H264 AAC) with arabic instead of english audio, even with logged in YT account.

Yes, that would be very practical in addition to being able to choose the desired track manually.

Mahlzeit Freunde. Bei YT sind mir in letzter Zeit immer öfter Videos erschienen, bei denen man nicht nur 1080p sondern auch "1080p Premium" wählen kann, z.B. bei dieser Datei **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Ich hab schon gesehen, dass "1080p Premium" nur YT Premium-Usern angezeigt wird. Wenn ich aber im JD die Datei einfüge, macht es keinen Unterschied ob ohne YT-Account oder mit YT Premium-Account: es wird nicht die Premium-Variante (bei der im Videoplayer angegeben wird: Bessere Bitrate) runtergeladen, sondern immer die Standard-Variante.

Daher wollte ich mal fragen, ob man eine Unterstützung im JD einbauen könnte. Wenn ihr keinen YT-Premium-Account habt, würde ich euch die Zugangsdaten mitteilen - auf welchem Wege?

Is anyone else having issues adding YouTube login info to jDownloader? I was able to successfully add my regular/free YT account not too long ago and downloaded videos that required age verification/login to watch, but now the plugin keeps saying "Unknown Error" / "Temp. Disabled". I tried removing and adding the login info again, I add my account name (username + @gmail.com) and the cookie data from Firefox (obtained with the Flag Cookies addon), I get a popup message saying "Result of the Account Verification: Premium Account" and then the same "temp disabled" error occurs.

Regarding the Youtube audio track issue, I have planned (several months ago, by this point) to try to handle it myself and have done some work on figuring out the (probably very simple) solution to downloading the default audio track, but have had various things cause this not to happen so far (for example, I currently don't really have an internet connection).

I do hope I will get to it at some point, but it would require me having at least a free hour or two to understand the JD code, the relevant Java classes, etc. I don't know when that will be.

Hi,

I'm suddenly getting a lot of "Plugin Defective" errors (and some "Content Offline" errors too) when downloading some, but not all Youtube channels and playlists.

The channels and playlists in question actually still exist and are publicly accessible, but JDownloader cannot find them.

Only noticed it on October 12th, don't know how long it's been like that. I am pretty sure it was fine... a few weeks ago, I think? Some time after the "core update" anyway.

And yes, I've updated to the latest October 16th release, it didn't fix the issue.

Examples that do not work:

I'm honestly more than a bit surprised no one else has posted about this in this thread, unless I've simply missed it?

Either that or this is not the primary place where errors of this nature are reported?

Or is this bug only happening to me? If so, what could be the cause for it?

Even that one failing link is working fine in the other format ("@<Username>/videos").

You probably got blocked or rate limited by Google.

Well, seeing as you said the problem was on my end, first thing I tried on a whim was to just refresh my cookies, not expecting that to do anything --- but it actually fixed the problem. Huh.

The account manager had not reported any problems before though, that was the first thing I had checked on when the problem first occurred. Huh, odd.

Ah well, I guess the "core update" was fairly recent and there's bound to be some glitches to be ironed out still.

So, problem fixed.




For the sake of posterity, in case it somehow becomes relevant later:

If Google was blocking me, it was doing so consistently for certain specific channels & playlists, but not others. Always the same ones, reproducibly so, I had just tried those same links listed above again earlier that day (and the prior few days) with identical results ...without even actually trying to download anything from them, just checking if the channels themselves would even be recognized or not. (So "rate limit" would not make much sense.)

Not sure what the difference between them was, but ah well. Problem fixed for now.

Basically I want Jdownloader2 to automatically name the file using the google translated English title of the video on the youtube page rather than the original Korean title. I can't read Korean language and I want the file i downloaded saved using the English title that is translated on the web page.

Is this even possible??

Do you download a lot of videos with foreign letters? If not, I would say just rename the title yourself before starting the download.

Yes I download a lot of Koreans videos on youtube that have foreign characters in the file names even though on the youtube page, the file name is translated to English already.

Yes I've been renaming the file manually myself for each file before i download but it takes a lot of time when I want to download a playlist.

For example, the video above is actually part of the playlist:

I want to download the whole playlist onto my computer and keep it offline and there are 198 videos in that playlist alone.

It would save me a lot of hours/days if Jdownloader2 can automatically help me rename it as the translated English title that appear on the page.

Unfortunately I'm a cabinet maker and I don't know much about computer program, but willing to learn if it's possible.

Having a YouTube account doesn't seem to help with downloading any more - only changing IP address does, and even then you have to wait for hours to get a successful download again.

Google have come down really hard on ad blockers and seemingly downloaders now - their own downloader is almost worthless as you have no option to download where to and the resulting files are just encrypted garbage.

Is this the end for YouTube downloads?

No news.
It's the same for downloaded Spotify/Netflix streams: All of them are encrypted and can only be used within their proprietary apps.

Whatever was done in the last update, YouTube videos are now downloading OK again, and it was software-related as the change was immediate!

No rate or quantity restrictions - it just works again.

I was just wondering if this is something that is still in progress. I understand that you or your team have a lot to do and many priorities, but if this doesn't require much time it would be nice to have

Weeks ago, I was downloading many videos with this date different by (mostly) just 1 day, but the right date was important to me because multiple videos that I watch talk about the same specific day, so if the date was different by 1 or few days, I would have no context until later or before (and with a lot of subjects going on in the videos it required extra effort for understanding).

Fortunately this is much less of a problem for me now because I have been downloading much less videos where this happens, so it is now easy for me to correct them manually

I also want to say thanks in advance for the time that you spend reading here and providing a lot of help for a lot of us, you have always been very helpful to me

Das liegt daran, dass JDownloader Videos mir mehreren Audiotrascks eigentlich noch nicht unterstützt daher wird derzeit vermutlich die erste Sprache aus der Liste verwendet und nicht die, die Sinn egibt.

Hallo pspzockerscene,

bis heute lief die Anmeldung bei jDownloader mit den Cookies super.
Allerdings ist der Cookie heute wieder abgelaufen und seither kann ich weder mit einem Cookie den ich in einem anderen Browser verwendet habe und mich neu angemeldet habe, noch mit einem Cookie aus einem Privaten Browserfenster anmelden.
Es kommt immer sofort die Meldung dass die Anmeldedaten ungültig sind. Ist der Fehler bekannt?
Wie gesagt habe einen anderen Browser genommen, alle Cookies aus dem Browser gelöscht, bei Youtube war ich abgemeldet und habe mich frisch angemeldet. Außer dass ich mit dem Cookie Kopiertool den Cookie abgefragt habe, habe ich nichts gemacht, aber sofort ist die Anmeldung im jDownloader ungültig. Ich weiß nicht mehr weiter.

Laut deinem Log hast du das Addon "Flag Cookies" zum Cookie Export verwendet.

Laut deinem Log haben die Cookies kein einziges Mal funktioniert daher waren sie entweder ungültig oder es haben welche gefehlt.
Am Addon "FlagCookies" wird/wurde derzeit gearbeitet evtl. hat sich da ein Bug eingeschlichen.

das war die Lösung, das Tool "Flag Cookies" hat hier wohl Probleme gemacht. Hab es nun mit einem anderen Tool versucht und es hat sofort geklappt.

Falls ja: Es wäre super, wenn du dies dem Entwickler des FlagCookies Addon melden könntest!

Ich kann das Problem hier mit Chrome + FlagCookies + YT leider nicht nachstellen.
EDIT Und ich sehe gerade, dass wir dieselbe Chrome Version verwenden.

Sadly, I'm facing another file name "cleanup" issue again.

For some reason, JD automatically removes any instance of "CDn" in filenames. I guess it's another global cleanup issue, but I'm unable to find the option to disable it.

For example, here is a random channel I found which has "cD5" in their yt id.

When using "*CHANNEL_ID* *CHANNELNAME*" for the folder name,

The result is:

But it should be:

The problem is inside the package name cleanup routine.
Disabling "GeneralSettings.cleanupfilenames" should fix it.

We are currently refactoring "GeneralSettings.cleanupfilenames".
Also said setting is named in a bad way as it doesn't really affect the filenames but only package names.
