Default Tool to convert from Word or html to thread/post format

Does anyone know of a tool which can perform that job? Apart from using 'editor mode switch'?

When I use many formatted words, phrases,... in a post, I can easily lose track...

Question:
Because of that, ...
...and all the advantages I have in MS Word, such as automatic typo correction, spell checking, templates,...
... I would prefer to write a post in MS Word (*.docx or *.htm) and then convert it to the format to be used when writing/editing a post. So I can just paste it there. That would save me a lot of time.

Does anybody know a tool which can convert *.docx or *.htm to that format?

I recommend asking this question in a more specified forum than in our JD forums.
I doubt you'll get a helpful answer here.

Well, I thought that people like you, who already wrote thousands of post, would have found a way, not to be forced to write directly here, but using a better tool instead - such as MS Word...

... to paste the result here.

I haven't used any, but a search for 'bb code editor' returned several results to online/offline editors with live preview. I think some popular word processors also have plugins for that.

Well indeed I have but I wouldn't have told you as it doesn't meet your requirements and I thought you probably already know this one:

I use Notepad++ if I prepare big forum answers.
I use it solely to not lose data in case of a browser crash or accidentally closing a tab.
I do not use it with spell checking but I'm sure that exists too.

Also I use an open source application called "Ditto" to manage blocks of text I frequently use for the forum and clipboard contents though a lot of this functionality has been added to Windows 10/11 by now so maybe "Ditto" is not needed anymore, at least for Windows users.
EDIT

...I can imagine that there are nice addons for "Notepad++" too for BBcode editing.

Same for me! different texteditor, simple linux one, but the main reason is to avoid losing my text on accidentally closing the tab

There is of course still this godlike hotkey CTRL + SHIFT + T to open the last closed tab(s) but that won't necessarily prevent data loss.

haha amateurs! I had a browser extension to save/cache textboxes so even if you closed or clicked a link everything was preserved!

Hey guys, that was not my question!
For that I use a tool which copies my clipboard contents to file html or plain text. CTRL A + CTRL C does the trick.

But what I wanted to know was, if there is a way to use the 'intelligence' of MS Word for writing a post and then copy the (converted) result to the textbox.

I'm sure there is, just need to find a working converter.
