Default problem with Proxy server

hi,
I'm using internet in my university campus
and there is a proxy server that control the internet

the server is scanning executable files and archive for virus then allow them for download but mp3 and some video extensions(flv) don't undergo server scanning

I entered the proxy host, port ,username and password in JD setting

when I'm using any link the linkgrabber verifies it and says it's valid but
when I'm starting the download JD is telling me either the file is not found or connection problems

I tried this with links of archives (being scanned ) and other links of files(not being scanned)
and the same problem

can anyone help me with this ?!
thank you

you have to disable direct connectino!
there are checkboxes in connection settings, enable the proxy to be default connection and proxy rotation and remove the checkbox from direct connection, then it should work

Thank for your support
I don't know how i missed that
now i can download without problems

but still there is issue of the virus scanning for the archives & executables
JD downloads a html page showing the server scanning of the file
instead of the actual file
now what?

Hi Jiaz
whenever I try to download a n archive file my campus proxy server redirects me to scanning page where it scans my file for anti virus
i then wait till scanning is finished to download the file
screen shot for the scanning :
Spoiler:

now when i try to download such file with JD
JD shows that download complete with false file size (22kb)
and obviously the file is damaged
I thought to add .html to the file name and opened it and it was the scanning page !
the page is in the attachments

here is my log file

I'm sorry to tell but it's nearly impossible to add support for this in JD. The plugins are done in very host specific way and we would have to change every hoster plugin exact to work for your proxy type. This is because JD expects the download to start (binary data) and instead gets this waiting page.
I would try to use a vpn to bypass the proxy!

Thank you Jiaz for your response and i'm sorry for the delay

Could we make a new plugin with high priority that kicks off after the host plugin ?!

I mean a plugin (with a setting to turn it off and on) which when turned on
every download link should processed for such scanning and dealt with ?!

I know it's exotic idea and probably would need new plugin system
and large amount of work (I don't need it right a way)

but it would be nice
and it may even open the door to see users writing plugins
with high specificity and optimization
something like "Scripting in JD"!

Thank you

I'm sorry but this is not possible as you will to have intercept each single page request and process it before the plugin gets hands on it. This has nothing to do scripting.
