Default Show download URL not source URL

I need to see the actual filehoster URL location but there is no way to do this in JDownloader2.

If I choose show Download URL or open in browser
It will open the original website where the filehoster file URL was copied rather than the actual filehoster location URL.

The problem is the original website where the filehoster URL was copied from may no longer be available.

e.g.

It will open

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

rather than the actual file URL that I want
e.g.
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Is there anyway to get the actual filehoster URL of that file rather than the website where it was copied from?

For anyone who has same problem

1. go to settings > user interface > downloadlink address display
2. Move data checkbox to the very top

You can also customize the copy url action
or rightclick->context menu->show url and then double click into the url

actually I already tried the rightclick->context menu->show download url
but it will still show the website you copied url or the linkprotector url instead of the actual file url

You need to first move the data checkbox to the very top in the settings
before that will work like you said.

How do you customize the copy url action?

You can double click into the url and it will show all known urls
Rightclick-Menu Editor, look for the copy action and there you can customize what to copy into clipboard

Why is this made so complicated?

Seems so pointless to make it so difficult when it should be the default way the program operates.

I still can't get this to work, no matter what I do -- and your directions in this thread are horrible and make no sense to a native English speaker.

Why is there no default "Copy File URL"?

I followed all your instructions and when I execute "Copy Information" it just copies the referrer URL not the file URL. /facepalm

Since this is someone elses thread I made a new one for it: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?p=430087

Your understanding of *File URL* is different
You can easily modify the context menu and adapt/add/modify to your own needs.
There is no such thing as *File URL*. One user wants to know where he found/copied the link from, the other one wants to get back to the container/crypter site, others want the content url....That's why you can change/modify this to your own needs

Is there also a way to do this on my.jdownloader.org?
the only link that is shown is "file:///volume1/Download/JDownloader/tmp/linkcollectorAPI1256411663378718.dlc" for example.

Edit:
I found the option called 'url order' in the advanced settings which sounds like it does what I want but none of my provided inputs is valid. I tried ORIGIN, "ORIGIN", {"ORIGIN"}, {"rid":"ORIGIN"}, no success.
the default value is {"rid":1.563838759428E12}

JDownloader ist open source - du darfst Wunsch-Features also gerne selbst einbauen.

Wichtig:
