Default CPU usage is in the 90% on idle

I've noticed that through watching taskmanager that CPU usage is incredibly high and the whole program slows down to a halt. I'd have to set the process to efficiency mode just to get it to unfreeze but it'll get to a point where I'd be forced to restart.

Yeah I do. It definetly was a memory issue and have expanded it to 30gb. Haven't had much issues so far.

@RedNapalm: Thanks for the feedback. A screenshot would be nice, so I can tell what Java version your JDownloader installation is using. In case it's on Java 1.8, you might wanna upgrade to higher Java bundled installer, as newer version has optimization that can bring down memory requirement noticeable.

It would be great to get hands on such large lists for development to more memory reduction optimizations. So, just in case you want to help me/us, you may send me a link (eg wetransfer, mega...) to support@jdownloader.org and upload one of your downloadListXXX.zip from cfg folder. But don't worry, I do understand if you would like to not send me the list

Idk whats going on but over the last year and a half JDL2 software has become the most god awful and freaking insane resource hog. It makes no damn sense. I can literally have Autodesk Maya, Houdini, and Adobe After Effects all open and runing at the same time and they dont even use that much ram actualy they wont even use HALF of what JDownloader2 uses. It used to be good a couple years ago then idk what ahppened but after updates over the last year ow two its went from A+ to F- quality. Any time I have it running its using up decent CPU but mainly the frustrating thing is that its always using at the vvery least 4.5 Gb of RAM even when idle running but no window open, no downloads downloading, no linkgrabber running or anything. Its the same on every computer even on fresh installs of windows so I know for a fact its nothing to do with me or my computers and everything to do with software. I wish there was another app that was as good as JDownloader 2 because I would stop using it in a heartbeat
