If I update the jre environment then surely jD will have no choice but to use it. So, are you really saying "no, don't install it until jD supports it"???

if you want to try it out go for it, just keep a backup of /config/ so that you can revert if you need to go back to 1.6.0_29

See how it goes and report back.

You can select the JRE version for every java application you run. I've more than 5 java versions on my machine.

The next stable version of jD will support the JRE 1.7.
