Default Update-Problem

Hallo

Fehlerdetails:
Quote:
org.jdownloader.update.SelfUpdateException: Selftest has been terminated unexpectedly
at org.jdownloader.update.SelfUpdateClient.finishSelfUpdate(SelfUpdateClient.java:235)
at org.jdownloader.update.UpdateManager.runFinishSelfUpdate(UpdateManager.java:1039)
at org.jdownloader.update.UpdateManager$6.run(UpdateManager.java:899)
at org.jdownloader.update.UpdateManager.installPendingUpdates(UpdateManager.java:923)
at org.jdownloader.updatev2.UpdateController.installUpdates(UpdateController.java:511)
at org.jdownloader.updatev2.UpdateController.onResults(UpdateController.java:378)
at org.jdownloader.update.UpdateManager$15.onResults(UpdateManager.java:1669)
at org.jdownloader.update.UpdateManager.runUpdateLoop(UpdateManager.java:1471)
at org.jdownloader.update.PendingUpdate.run(PendingUpdate.java:20)
at org.jdownloader.update.UpdateManager$17.run(UpdateManager.java:1858)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Hi, i have the same Problem as atik. And also on Win 8.1, JRE 1.8.0_20-b26. 64 Bit. Eset Firewall was set to allow java and javaw. Deleting temp didnt help. running ckernel #26883 and updater #406. Maybe you could publish which solution helped in all your talks to coalado? Thank you in advance.

Just run a webinstall of JDownoloader2 (before saved my cfg directory) and this solved the problem for me.

Using JDownloader.jar has helped me.

I uninstalled Jdownloader2 (keeping my config backed up elsewhere) to attempt to fix this problem, which alternated between that error above and telling me that the update server was down. Using the .jar didn't do anything for me other than load up the java libraries in the background (Java 7 40-b43) x64 and 32bit installed. Windows 7 x64 SP1.

Now I'm trying to use the web install, and it installs normally until it gets to the part where it says it is downloading the version number, and it stalls out.

It worked flawlessly for months until yesterday, other than trying to update jdownloader 2, no changes on my end.

We need to able to identify the issue which is causing this, we require logs to be sent.

Please compress with rar/zip your 'JD2 installation directory/logs'
it would also be beneficial if you also compressed 'JD2 installation directory/tmp/update'

send email to support@jdownloader.org

What the HECK is going on?

Every update it stuck and to installed we must delete the file "core.jar".

I thing this is NOT a solution. Is it?

You asked log file.
Here is my logfile.

jdlog might not provide information we need, hence we ask logs to be compressed and sent in via email.

Please follow instruction in my previous post for further information on the matter.

thankyou

I sent the data in, and I don't know when, but the problem is also resolved. I am able to install now, the data now fetches during the web install, and after the install, the updater runs. I didn't change anything on my end.

I closed the related support ticket. Thank you.
