sorry ill try to show you in a screen shot, i added 2 screen shots together just to show you

ok have a look see how steam has a jump list, you can bring the jump list up by right clicking on the taskbar icon, its sorter like jdownloaders icon in the Notification Area,And see how there's two jdownloader icons on my taskbar and only one for Firefox when Firefox is closed its just a link when opened it becomes the program and minimizes to the same icon.

you have to create a custom shortcut with
javaw.exe -Xmx512m -jar JDownloader.jar
run in your jd folder
use specific icon and use the one from jdownloader.exe

that way you have an icon thats to start and same for running jd (no longer two icons)

for jd to react on rightclick there we have to wait for java update. its job ob java to provide such a function. we can't do it our own

you have to create a shortcut in windows
put
run in : to your jd folder
and the command should be
javaw.exe -Xmx512m -jar JDownloader.jar

clicking okay, windows should put the complete path to javaw.exe automatic, if not, then
"C.\program files\java....\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx512m -jar JDownloader.jar

but this shortcut into win7 area you want

I don't . Sorry . Don't quite understand creating shortcut step. You only get the location and name options when you're creating one . My JD is in c:jdownloader folder . What would it suppose to look like . Don't know if it's important but i'm using java 5 becouse of the x64 W7 .

please install sun java 1.6 java 1.5 is OLD OLD OLD
download it from **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.sun.com

easiest way is to visit supportchat and i help you setup it with teamviewer.com

its simply creating a shortcut and then change path yourself to
javaw.exe -Xmx512m -jar JDownloader.jar

windows will autocomplete it if java is installed properly

i managed to solve this out with this method
http://board.jdownloader.org/showthr...light=shortcut
I know that java is old but i cannot find newer one for x64 W7 to work . I have installed Java6 Update17 (6.0.170) and J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update22(1.5.0.220) . Is there newer one for x64?
