Default Rename files with packager

Hi all, I've just downloaded JD2 and I'd like to know how can I rename files downloaded?
I've followed the instructions I've found on some tutorial and online, so I used Packager
rules.
I've selected filename and in the field I have done some test.
It's seems that only the 4 default value works correctly (date, package name, original file
name and file type).
None of other tags I've found on other discussions works correctly (e.g.: <jd:source:1> <jd:hoster:1>)
What's wrong?

My goal is to rename files with their URL + original file name.

Thanks to all

source with be source url & hoster is the download url
for the dynamic tags to be available you need to have listeners present either in wildcard format * or regex (patternhere)

Thank you for your quick reply, but I'm really a newbie in JD, so
I haven't probably understood your answer.
What do you mean with 'listeners'? Where I can find its?

Or better: Could you tell me which field I need to fill and how?

I obviously checked the 'Match on any files or link and ignore conditions below'
and only in the filename field I have inserted <jd:hoster:1>_<jd:orgfilename> and nothing else in any other field.

But it seems not working at all.
What I obtain is:

_jd_hoster_1__trailer.mp4 (trailer.mp4 is the name of the file, of course)

Could you indicates me step by step which field I have to fill and how?
Or if I can dowload and add a rule already done?

..and please with basically terms, because my english is a little bit rusty.
:biggrin::biggrin:

Is there a way to remove or add stings to the downloaded files?

eg.
the downloaded filename is abc_OriginalFileName.rar

And wanted to rename the file to OriginalFileName.rar after download

Use an EventScripter script.

@xefeg: for simple filename manipulation (remove of some prefix/trailing) you can also use the packagizer for this
