@perspicacia: just out of interest, do you add channels or single links?
Update: At least I now can reproduce the issue,
Update2: I have some idea, need to check on those

Just another example link, which causes problems at this very moment:

I'm "glad" you were able to reproduce the problem so this can be further investigated

From testing I've done, it may happen with both playlists or single links, but it happens randomly

With playlists I'm able to reproduce the issue quickly because they have 10 to 100+ videos

I have an idea of how you could test and reproduce the error often: you could start downloading a playlist that has many videos. If the download starts, you disable the link so it continues with the next until you find links with errors. It can be done with 1 connection at a time or 4 so it's slightly faster, limiting bandwitch to 1 MB/s or less so it barely uses internet data

Alternatively, you can do the same process but with multiple random videos from youtube (10, 20 or more if you prefer) or from a specific channel

I've found some translation issue:
When adding a channel link like
Code:
https www youtube com/@BurstError
there are words in german, not translated to english:

BurstError - Uploads von BurstError

@dbkarm: are you using account via cookies? this string comes from youtube and most likely localized due to cookies and/or IP/geo location

Hi all. Yes YT is playing games again with us.

Error occurred .Plugin outdated.

Log
02.08.24 00.36.31 <--> 02.08.24 02.38.34 jdlog://6054411370661/

The files will download fine as i force download the files.

Seen these issues are now screwing up the online YT downloaders to as they fix it every time YT change their system.

Hi :>

I updated JD and I'm still experiencing this issue. I just tried downloading newly added single files. Out of 54 files, 31 succeded and 23 failed: "Plugin Outdated, Try resseting the link"

Before the error happens, the downloads change the resolution from 720p to 360p. The same error happens when a video changes from 1080p to 360p

jdlog://9054411370661/

Note: the same issue happened to me earlier with a playlist

I think I read that you no longer need to reproduce this issue? Does it mean you can reproduce it easily too? Recommendation: If you need to reproduce it again, find any playlist with many videos and see how many start the download (and disable them immediately) and how many fail even before download 1 KB

UPDATE:
I found an easier and fast way to reproduce this issue even before downloading, in the linkgrabber
1. Find a youtube channel with multiple playlists, add one playlist to the linkgrabber and wait untill it finishes grabbing all the links
2. Right click the package and select "check online status"
3. You will see that some of them will change from 1080p or 720p to 360p
4. If none of them change the resolution, try with another playlist until this error happens

No longer need any logs nor a way to reproduce. The issue is caused by experimental tests by yt rolling out randomly to x percent. Working on it

Yes I'm using cookies but it's not localised to Germany. jDownloader received an update and can't reproduce it anymore, maybe it's fixed

@Merckernich:
Youtube: siehe https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...postcount=6167

Have you been working on the yt link grabber today? It's failing a lot on my updated instance.

For example, if I copy 30 links, only half are added, then I copy the same links again and some more are added, so I have to process the same links a few times until all of them are added to the link grabber list. Same thing whenever I copy a channel link or playlist.

The only especial thing on my setup is that I mainly download shorts in webm format.

The weird part is that I have another machine I updated 16 hours ago and it seems to be working fine, so I'm not sure what the issue here.

Sorry, I can't provide logs right now, I will do so tomorrow if the problem remains, thanks.

I got some spare time. Here are the logs for my issue.

Copied the first 10 video links that showed up on #shorts, only 6 got added to the link grabber.

@bug_reporter_girl: log does not contain any error, nor can I reproduce any issue, neither with standalone/stable nor with developer version. are you sure the links not already part of the list? can you clear linkgrabber list and check again?
also please wait for next update (tomorrow) so the log contains less redudant infos as yt logs are very large in size, hard to read/debug.

Here. Do you spot the issue now?

In this log:
- I copy 10 links, only 3 are added.
- I disable and enable the clipboard observer, another 5 are added, total 8 out of 10.
- I repeat and another video is added.
- I disable and enable the clipboard observer a couple more times, but the last video is never added.

No problem, if this doesn't help I'll report back tomorrow. However, the regression has happen today for sure, as doing this test on my not-updated machine works fine and the 10 videos are added correctly.

@bug_reporter_girl: do you manually remove files from log? I'm asking because several important logs are completely missing. what I have in logs is all error free and looking good and I can see that all links are copied/processed on first add/copy to clipboard. but due to missing thread dump logs I can't tell/see if any of those threads are hanging and starting yet another one solve the issue for you.
I have updated logging and will ping you tomorrow when update is live for you to test/update and create new logs then.
I'm unable to reproduce any issue, tested several times with your example links, no problems at all

@shinji2009: have you installed latest updates? I'm asking because the 1080p->360p issue has been solved with it. Please provide logs, see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...d-session-logs
For subtitle, see Settings->Advanced Settings->Youtube.subtitlevariantmode and change it. byy default JDownloader create copy of subtitle to match video name for video player to better find it.

No I don't. Look this image, those are the files I can see in the log folder from yesterday (2454411370661). There is anything missing?

@shinji2009: I've disabled auto next variant handling with next update as it seems to cause more issues than it should help. Resume should work but most likely got reset due to auto variant search. Please check again with next plugin update

@bug_reporter_girl
When I reenable the linkgrabber it doesn't add the links the first time. It is been that way since I can remember

What I do is:
1. Enable the linkgrabber (or clipboard observer as you called it)
2. Copy ANYTHING on the clipboard with control+c. You can copy a single letter or random word
3. Copy the links you want and now they will be added

@Jiaz
It seems to be working much better now! With one exception:
I checked another small playlist (12 files) and one file changed from 1080p H264 to 1080p VP9. Unfortunately my ipad do not have hardware acceleration for VP9, meaning it would drain the battery much quicker.
However, adding the link a 2nd time and checking the online status again didn't change from H264 to VP9 again

My guess is that something very similar to when they were changing to 360p happened, but it picked the highest resolution in another codec instead

@bug_reporter_girl: Thanks. Very strange because it is missing the file "org.jdownloader.startup.commands.ThreadDump.log.0" that is auto created every time when you open the *create log* dialog. Maybe this folder is from previous/different session? but please wait for next update and then check again/create new log, did add some more logging and optimized some stuff

I'm 99% sure that's the correct folder. But I think that I know what happen. I didn't send the "current session". I did the test, closed JD, reopened it and then I created the log. I can see the file you mention is in the folder of the session I was when I created the log, but it's not in the folder of the log that I actually sent. So that's probably a bug.

No problem, I have done some testing on my end. I did a clean install to make sure that my main instance isn't broken.

What I found is, with default settings, all the videos are added correctly. When I limit the yt plugin "Filetype" to mkv, all videos are added correctly too in mkv format, but when I limit it to webm, the issue arise, and only a few videos get added in webm format.

Of course, I'm cleaning the link grabber and even restarting JD between tests, so that's not the issue.

Both mkv and webm use VP9 video codecs, so maybe the issue is linked to the Opus audio codecs that webm uses?

For instance, I have reproduced the issue in a completely clean install, the only modification is in the yt plugin, "Type" limited to only video, and "Filetype" limited to webm, that's it.

@bug_reporter_girl: Thanks for the followup and your time to further look into this. Changes will not affect the issue you describe. JDownloader has *internal* list of possible combinations of audio/video/container , so best would be to provide example link that resulted in *nothing* when preferring/limiting to webm, so I can check that internal list and try to update it. Best would be to reproduce the issue, then zip your cfg/plugins/YOUTUBE folder and send with example links to support@jdownloader.org so I can test with exact same plugin settings and links

Don't worry, you don't need to rush it. If the issue persists for a long time, I can switch my short downloads to mkv for the time being, as mkv detection is working fine in the current version.
