Jiaz has indicated this in the past, the update system does not touch the config files. I would say something is deleting/removing your configs most likely security software?.

Don't fight the system, use it to your advantage. :]

Your JDownloader is running from Program Files and our installer installs into Appdata since many years because Program Files is restricted area. Maybe you've installed JDownloader twice? old one in Program files and new one in Appdata? Please check that.
I don't have any idea nor does the log show any hint what might have happened.
Wipe of all config files can't happen because of update because those files are not touched at all

The download list was the only file not reset

I've only one install - I installed into program files as I don't like apps buried in appdata

Apps are not *buried* in Appdata but this is the recommended (by Microsoft) directory for applications since long time because "Program Files" require admin privileges and Appdata belongs to current running user and no issues with permissions
