Default Depfile too many connections

I have multiple depfile premium accounts, all of them have their daily download traffic almost untouched. When I start depfile downloads from the browser they work fine. However, Jdownloader only starts one download and then it stays "Too many connections wait before staring new download" for the remaining depfile links.

I set max sim downloads per hoster to 4.

Any idea what might be going wrong? I have been using those accounts fine for the past month or so and I didn't have any issues with them.

this happens because you are using multiple chunks and your browser does not.
they restrict total connections (max sim dl * max chunks) globally per IP address regardless of account usage. Note that this is a restriction on httpd for each download server, so if you get the same fileserver for each file you download you can hit this limit quickly. Its hard for JDownloader to manage this limit when people download in JDownloader and outside as the slots are used and JD has no knowledge. Best bet is to reduce max sim dls and max chunks, until you can download again.

alternatively
email depfile support and ask them to increase the connection threshold for 503.

Thanks raztoki for the feedback

>this happens because you are using multiple chunks and your browser does not.
I have always set the max chunks to 1. Also, I had the max sim dl set to 15, with three premium account that's 5 downloads on average per account.

>Its hard for JDownloader to manage this limit when people download in JDownloader and outside as the slots are used and JD has no knowledge.
I only tried to download links in the browser to figure out why JD was showing that message. I always use JD.

>Best bet is to reduce max sim dls and max chunks
I tried the following:
  • disabled all the depfile accounts except for one
  • disabled all the the pending downloads except one depfile link
  • set the max dls to 1 and made sure the max chunks was 1 as well
However, I got the same error again and the download did not start. I tried the same link via the browser (using the enabled depfile account) and it worked.

Do you think this is worth a shot or they wouldn't care?

@egamal
you can only ask, 503 is a server side rejection due to too many connections. It should not matter which client or account, as its IP restriction.

Try to set max connections and max downloads to 1 and check if that works
then increase my downloads one by one

I used an private proxy for a few days (since raztoki mentioned that it is IP specific) and that solved the problem. Today, I stopped using the private proxy and everything is back to normal.

You can mark that issue closed/sloved.
