Default Browser Commandline (parameter -no-remote/-new-instance)

Hello.

I was reading the How to use another browser than your OS' default to solve browser captchas (**External links are only visible to Support Staff**Command Line firefox) and other posts, but i didn't see the problem i have with any parameters:

*I use "basilisk" (firefox 52.9.0 based) and have created two profiles ("test" and "default") (absolute path assigned for profiles on "profiles.ini").

*I have two basilisk on two folders differents (not the same versions).

I opened one basilisk and expect when i need to solve a captcha to download anything, jdownloader need to open other basilisk with a specific profile:

***Testing***

Relative path for the profile (test):

["H:\\Archivos de programa\\basilisk_new\\basilisk.exe", "-p test", "-new-instance", "%s"]

Absolute path for the profile (test):

["H:\\Archivos de programa\\basilisk_new\\basilisk.exe", "-profile H:\\temporales\\_Perfiles_Navegadores\\Basilisk\\Profiles\\kzclquoo.test", "-new-instance", "%s"]

["H:\\Archivos de programa\\basilisk_new\\basilisk.exe", "-profile H://temporales//_Perfiles_Navegadores//Basilisk//Profiles//kzclquoo.test", "-new-instance", "%s"]

It seems to ignore the parameter "-profile" (absolute or relative) and "new-instance" (for open a new window) and instead open a tab on my actual open browser (basilisk) ("default" profile).

_____________________________________________

The parameter "no-remote" (which works on a direct access on windows desktop) prompt me this:

Message error: "Basilisk is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Basilisk process, or restart your sistem.

____________

What to do?

Thanks

@rocknard: your command line parameter is wrong. You set key value as one entity but they are two.
see wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/CommandLineOptions

-P Profilename

["H:\\Archivos de programa\\basilisk_new\\basilisk.exe", "-P","test", "-new-instance", "%s"]
-profile "profile_path"

["H:\\Archivos de programa\\basilisk_new\\basilisk.exe", "-profile","H:\\temporales\\_Perfiles_Navegadores\\Basilisk\\Profiles\\kzclquoo.test", "-new-instance", "%s"]

Oh, i didn't know they are to entities for this case.

-new-instance don't start my profile, but "-no-remote" do it.

Thanks.

You're welcome!

Did you use -P or -profile?
