Smile Hotlink.cc - File not found, but can download via browser

Hello!

Today I managed to download successfully some files via hotlink.cc in jDownloader then it displayed "file not found" in the status column.

I checked the files via the browser and they're showing nothing unusual I could even download them via the browser. tried the check online status option, but same problem.

Provided log.

I've tested the links that are shown as offline in JDownloader in browser(firefox and chrome) and they are all offline as well.

Okay, sorry for bringing this up again. I rechecked it just to be certain.

It shows offline in jDownloader - but they're are online via hotlink.cc for me. When I copy them to jDownloader it shows offline. I can still download them via the browser.

I provided the links and 2 examples.

Checked all of them, all offline in Firefox/Chrome and JDownloader
Maybe those links have sort of referer check in place? can you still download them when open incognito/private tab and open the link directly?

lol indeed they're online.
You can see this if you e.g. check them via:
hotlink.cc/?op=checkfiles

...but I guess instead of providing workarounds what is really needed is the correct Referer because even if we could determine the correct status right now there would be no way to download them without the correct Referer.

I apologize for the delay.

What I did was check 4 files.

2 of them shows online in jDownloader while the other two are offline. Maybe it can help narrowing it down.
Naturally they're online via the browser and downloadable.

Yes I can also open the link in incognito mode.

Offline Files in jDownloader 2:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Online Files in jDownloader2:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Hope it helps.

Would it help if I provided the source code of the offline and online pages?

Those links are offline in browser as well.
Either they are geo blocked or sort of referer check.
Most likely the referer sets a cookie to make those links work.

no because the website just states the file being offline. Can you tell us where you find those links?
You can also send us details to support@jdownloader.org

Really strange but again I can verify that you're right by using their mass-linkchecking feature:
hotlink.cc/?op=checkfiles

I guess because the checkfiles method cannot handle referer for each link

Yeah sure.

I was just trying to say that I do believe him and I'm able to verify this from here but still we don't know the required Referer so we cannot do anything.

Yes, I'm using the search catalogue feature hotlink offers. So I don't get any links from a 3rd party site.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

and I just do a right click copy link address and jDownloader linkcollector grabs them.

I'm still unable to make this work.
Is there a specified tag I can search for to really be able to reproduce this?

I put in some search terms and I was always able to add all URLs to JD (status=online)...
EDIT

Are you logged in into a hotlink.cc account when searching via browser?

Yes. I'm logged into the hotlink.cc account.

Here is the overall catalogue search: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

However today I went to the catalogue link and searched the term and the URL is this instead:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

So I just copy the link address from there.

And there are the offline ones from the search catalogue:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

And the online ones:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

@ABCDownloader: can you send us hotlink.cc logins to support@jdownloader.org. Without account, the results are offline in browser. Also tested with my own account and still shown as offline

Hi again,
I was unable to download with your account because:
Code:
You have reached the download limit: 66 GB for last 2 days
... but I've found the cause and implemented it accordingly:

These URLs can only be viewed/downloaded by premium users.
There is no special Referer needed.

For the next update:
- Such URLs will now be displayed with the correct status even if you do not own a premium account (but the filename may be crippled)
- Such URLs will work just fine for premium account owners

I was unable to test the download because of the above errormessage but I'm sure that it will work.

If you want to, you can now change the password of your hotlink.cc premium account.
