Hi,

I have been using Jdownloader and I love it. However there is one thing that keeps on happening to me:

At some point in time J downloader just won't start, it only shows the small box but the bar does not progress and its just stuck there. I have to stop the javaw process to get rid of it. Upgraded to new version, I still have that issue.

I have tried as well to install on other pc, at first it works well but the same problem occurs after a while. I used windows xp and windows 7.

Could any one help me, is this a common problem?

sounds like you are not using the latest version of jd, please close it and start jdupdate.jar

latest version is 0.95x -brain-

I noticed that it happen more often than not when I update Java or J downloader. I have reformatted the windows and then install it.. It works for while especially when I do not update Jdownloader. After I saw hundreds of new updates available, I was tempted to update it and it crashed aftewards.

This does not happen just once with one version but with other versions as well.

Once I tried to install a new instance of Jdownloader on top of the old one and it still does not work.

please start jdupdate.jar
this bug you describe is a known bug in older version but fixed in current stable version

please make sure you use 0.95x version of jd (see about dialog)
