1) a IRC url is fine (we do provide the relevant info) just remember this is relatively new format/standard the website is probably older. We provide freenode webui front end, along with a simple irc client within JD also, as this is eaiser for new comers.
You can connect to JD's support chat by using the JD Support JD Chat or any IRC-Client. Server: irc.freenode.net:6667 Channel: #jdownloader 2) redmine is closed access for commit until you sign legal wavier (read access is allowed to the repository) you need to request access via emailing support@jdownloader.org . Either ask for access to the redmine front end or svn:// if you'd like to commit changes to our source code. Many parts of our online help is very dated you can also see screen shots from many versions ago. All this will be replaced once our next major version comes out. If you like to just report a bug use the forum or the newer ticket method http://support.jdownloader.org/index...kets&_a=submit

This wiki would be up to date if all people, who see errors or missing data, would be able to correct them or add missing data, just like in the Wikipedia. By keeping it closed I'm sure it'll never be up to date let alone complete.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** "irc: URL scheme" August 29, 1996 > You can connect that is mere copypasta of the page in question. I already read it and already connected. but that is very long and windy road, when one could just click the link. The page is not updated, the IRC URL is still missed there. So why is it marked as solved ? The problem is still in the state as it was. > If you like to just report a bug use the forum or the newer ticket method http://support.jdownloader.org/index...kets&_a=submit Great! this is probably the link to go. So the webpage is to be updated, non-functioning link to old bugtracker be replaced with this new link. That page is not updated too! the working public tracker URL is still missed there and non-working URL is still in place. So why is it marked as solved ? The problem is still in the state as it was. |

Standards take time to be adopted, I recall those been passed yet took years for clients to bother to implement support. Each to there own. Information is given if they want to use standalone client they can do it manually. As for marked as solved as I've given you the answer, the topic is dealt with in solved manner. Neither of your reported issues are bugs, its made/configured that way. Love it or lump it (no offence meant)
It's just another way to post error reports, you can use IRC, forums, email, the newer support/ticket system, and svn (if you have reporter/developer access). Choose what ever method that's suits your needs best.
