Exclamation JDownloader closes itself during downloads

I have an issue with jdownloader closing itself during downloads. An example is I'm downloading a 700mb file from megaupload, the status will make it to around 200mb downloaded and then it will just randomly close itself.

So pretty much it downloads for awhile and then just offs itself.

I am running AVG with link checker disabled and added java and javaw to the firewall exclude list. Dos anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

If you see any new hs_err_pid* files in jD's program folder, please show them.

Ok, I have attached the 3 most recent crash logos I found in the directory.

I've re-installed both jdownloader and java. It didn't work.

Thanks

All your crashes are caused by the famous msvcrt.dll problem. It's one of the reasons why I'm very reluctant to upgrade my java, because I'm also running XP SP3.

Please, read "Jdownloader Closes Itself".

I ran the SFC /SCANNOW like he said... it ran through the scan and then was finished. It didn't say anything else.

I tested out JDownloader and it still doesn't work. Attached is the last test error log.

Try all the other recommendations. Start with replacing your JRE with update 21. If none work, the only remaining solution is to re-install your OS.

Ah damn, I think I'm screwed. I'm going to try to figure out a Linux based route.

Thanks for your help!

That's a very wise decision. I'll do that as well as soon as my Windoze XP dies.
