Slow download speeds after update.
After last download my speeds are averaging 200 kb/s. (used to be around 5 mb/s)
Java and jdownloader have been updated, Windows 7, deleted my virus and firewall software. Any help would be great, let me know what other info you need......thx |

I am experiencing a similar issue using Jdownloader 2.0. If I download from a host directly through the browser, it often goes quicker.
One thing I am noticed which may be affecting the speeds is how the linkgrabber is working now. Links are NOT being copied face value - so it seems like Jdownloader 2.0 is not downloading directly from the source. For instance, when copying links from a webpage (simply selecting the text on the page in Chrome, and right click - copy) it is not copying the links face value. Instead, it appears it is using the "copy link address" method. (eg) link = **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** however linkgrabber captures the following : (eg) link address = **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** If I inspect the element, it looks like this : <a rel="nofollow" href="**External links are only visible to Support Staff**>**External links are only visible to Support Staff** It seems, if I copy to clipboard and then paste into NOTEPAD, the links are face value. Then I select all the links from NOTEPAD, and copy to clipboard, Jdownloader 2.0 captures the links properly. |

My apologies. It appears my problem is related to the settings. In the Settings>User Interface, I unchecked "referrer" under Downloadlink Address Display and that appears to have fixed my problem.

@neo_azn
those settings are just used for GUI display, it would play zero influence in slow download speeds. raztoki

I have no clue what im doing, but it was true, if I copied the link from the website it was around 150kb/s. if i followed the link to rapidgator, and copy that link, I was able to get 4.5 mb/s. The second i unclicked that box, it worked fine from the copied link from the website.

I am currently using the Mac version. My download speeds are capped to 10kb/s even though the Pause Mode button is unchecked. Is there any other setting to change?
edit: user raztoki resolved my issue in the IRC. Much thanks. Apparently in addition to the pause button, if you right click the speed graphic there is another box with a limiter option that can be checked and unchecked. Last edited by a979259; 27.11.2014 at 08:44. |

@a979259
those options are also available under settings main menu or bottom right hand corner of download tab (spanner X screwdriver)

I'm still having the speed proplem with Rapidgator. I can download much faster just using my browser than using JD2 at the moment.

I solved the problem.
For years I've been leaving the speed setting unticked, which I understood to be unlimited. Today as an experiment, I tried ticking the box and entering 5 MB per second. Well, it isn't going that fast, but RG premium links that averaged 130-140 kbps are now zooming along between 700-800 kbps. Very fast speeds for non-premium file hosts also. |

weird, i am having this very painful slow download problem with uploaded.net. it used to be zooming fast. if i download from browser it is also faster than from jdownloader. How many max connections do you guys use? Normally, I set max downloads to 10 and 1 connection only.

i think it is uploaded server inherent problem. Or could it be jd script related? I changed isp but no improvement to download speed too. speed is really bad. almost to crawling halt :-(

I'm also experiencing incredibly poor download speeds. Typically between a few bytes/sec and a maximum of 30 kb/sec. At the same time I am also using another downloader and getting between 2.1 and 3.4 mb/sec which isn't good but still much better than JD2.
Screenshots attached. My antivirus is Comodo Internet Security.
