You won't find any moral action in such a business
Also, the "speed glitch" which worked in JDownloader has never been our intention.
As already said multiple times, we did not even know about that.
I'am currently testing free download though I cannot test large files which need like 20+ hours in free mode until completion.
Also,
please post logs so we can see what actually causes the disconnect!

EDIT
My speed/disconnect test results and overview of what has happened:
Regarding bad downloadspeeds and no resume:
It seems like there has been a bug in the k2s system serverside which lead to very high free user downloadspeed (for JDownloader users).
We never had any influence on that, in fact we did not even know about this.
K2s has now fixed this bug!
They have also disabled the ability to resule stopped downloads for free & free account users.
Current normal free speeds are: 30-50 KB/s
Current supposed free account download speeds are: 100 KB/s
Regarding download speed and disconnects - here an overview opf my tests:
JD:
Without special Referer: Disconnects
With special Referer: No issues
If you want to have such a Referer, please do not ask our staff - ask other users!
Browser:
Without special Referer: No issues
With special Referer: NotTested
I've even tested generated API directurl via browser and it also had the disconnect issues which means this should happen in any tool using their API.
Question is, is it a bug or do they do this on purpose?
On purpose kinda makes no sense as they're still wasting traffic this way so it could still simply be a bug ...
EDIT3
For now, you should use a custom Referer as a workaround!
I have created a ticket for this issue although chances are that it is a k2s bug!
