As the title suggest, when I try to download images from https://imgur.com the images gets renamed randomly which means, if I try to download the images it won't be in order anymore.

Hitomi Downloader (another program to download stuff from websites) doesn't have this problem with https://imgur.com, the images gets renamed properly in order and then it downloads the images in order but I'm not able to achieve this in JDownloader 2. At this moment Hitomi Downloader is not working with https://imgur.com, that program needs to be updated again, it appears that something changed in Imgur to make that program stop working because it was working fine before.

Anyway, JDownloader 2 still works with https://imgur.com but it does have that issue of not downloading the images in order. How can I make JDownloader 2 rename those images properly in order and then download them in order?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

imgur.com has a dedicated property and settings for filenames so putting that ID into your filenames should not be an issue.
See settings --> Plugins --> imgur.com

If that doesn't work, please post working imgur.com example URLs (e.g. galleries) and a log.

Please keep in mind that these pictures and also other content you add to JD has no "order id" available - it will usually get downloaded sorted by filename.
In some cases (e.g. imgur), our crawler plugins can set special properties so that e.g. the "original order" can be preserved by using them in your filenames.

My gawd, I have been using JDownloader for almost a decade and I had no idea this feature was there, I'm a long time user but I haven't tried those type of options.

Anyway, you're right, the option that fixed the issue is *orderid* which can be added to "Define Custom Filename" in Settings > Plugins > Imgur.com

I don't understand why *orderid* is not the default option, I believe that option is the most important one and should be on by default.

Until now no other user has had this opinion ... but I guess when downloading albums it would kinda make sense ...

Excellent news, thanks for implementing my suggestion, I also appreciate it, you've been very helpful mate.

I'm sure you're all aware of this but just in case I will say it, *orderid* needs to be the first one on the list to be able to display the ordered pictures with the numbers, I might be wrong about this but that's how I got it configured and so far I have no issues with it.

Hi,
*orderid* can be anywhere in the filename pattern but of course for easier sorting, one would usually put that to the beginning.
