@neo30i
Checked this link
It works in Stable/Nightly (plugin 15579).
So I can confirm - it's not a problem with plugin.

@Jiaz

So it means that filesonic blocks some IP or some countries?
I wonder why they're doing that...

You are using 9 chunks, use less chunks will reduce the chance to get problem.

It's been about 10 days since my buying a Filesonic Premium account, after two years with Rapidshare, and I'm still getting low download rates.

I already contacted them and sent some information they required, but things haven't changed yet.

Download speed rates with Filesonic are about 1/3 or even 1/4 of what my RS rates were.

Problem is RS has become an unlikely place to find the files I look for, even newer ones.

Another thing happening with FS is that they stop downloading some files and do not start again by themselves when whatever reasons for stopping are solved. So it demands a continuous attention to resume downloading of the files in question. Very boring and frustrating.

Can any of these things be related with JD? Is there anything I can do?

@carlmart

Having speed issues? read this!

Also download multiple files simultaneously and set "Max.Con." to 1. This will optimise your traffic.

As I don't know how it's called, I'm going to explain another problem that seems to happen only with Filesonic.

Sometimes my internet connection is cut-off, for some seconds or a few minutes. When the connection is reestablished some of my downloads continue to download and some need to be resumed manually.

What I observed is that Filesonic ALWAYS needs to be resumed manually. Others, like Rapidshare or Megaupload, sometimes resume downloading by themselves.

This resuming feature is something that JD activates or should be automatically resumed by Filesonic? Is there anything I can do to provide that on JD?

So what I describe is not something that happens with all Filesonic Premium users?

In my case it doesn't seem link related: it happens with ALL Filesonic links when the connection is cut-off.

There's another thing that happens very often with Filesonic when connection is cut-off and then reestablished: I get a message on the files that you need a Premium account to download them.

The question is I already HAVE a Premium account, and the data is loaded in JD. Right now, as I write, that is the message I'm getting on each Filesonic file loaded in JD.

OK, this might be related to the connection problems I'm now having with my server, and every time it happens I have to go away to the Premium setup.

Is something wrong in my JD setup?

Please note: I'm not interested in cancelling my Filesonic account. I need to make it work, because most of the files I need are on Filesonic. So I'm stuck with it.

Question Plugin out of date

Hi,

I am accessing some files on filesonic with a free account.
The issue I have encountered is the following: some file download without a problem, other state "Plugin error (out of date)".

I am not sure on why that would be the case, all the files come from the same uploader. Any suggestion would be great.

Thanks

No, you aren't the only customer experiencing this problem. Every day other people have problems with their firewall and/or virus software.

If you can download the files with your browser something is blocking jD. I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

Remi: Thanks for the reply which I assume should apply also to my post and not only to Jenex.
A couple of issues/comments with the suggestions you have provided

Yes I can download the files with my browser

My java and javaw are allowed in the firewall, also it is unlikely that the firewall is going to block out 1 file every 5/10 from filesonic while letting all the others through without a problem within JD
The only virus software I have is Microsoft essential: also unlikely to be a cause as similar files have gone through without an hitch and others have failed.
However I have disabled it for testing purposes and unfortunately the outcome has not changed

Tested this suggestion - however the situation has remained the same.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks

For "Plugin error (out of date)", post the troubled link and upload the log.
Can you download it with browser? Does reset give same result?

I am getting timeout errors. I have a premium filesonic account. I am able to download fine from my browser. The problem is not my AV program or firewall.

Can you proof it? Time out error is usually an AV/FW issue.

@oneof1121

If you don't have any virus or firewall software running on your computer, please reduce the "Max. Con." setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1 and Reset the affected links.

Think this is where you're wrong! If the security application requires setting allow/deny, effectively trust rules and this process was never done (or not correctly). It will block/interfere with, jdownloader. Assuming a rule exists for your browser and is correct, your browser wouldn't be having a problem... How exactly can you prove it's not the AV/FW, since you haven't stated why and what little information provided lacks in any detail.

During the last 2-3 days I have experienced problems with FileSonic - where some links tend to be (temporarily?) offline, both in web browser and in JDownloader. Should I try to keep them till they are back online? Has anybody experienced these issues? Or where could be a problem? Some links are working, some are not. Jdownloader reports them as "ERROR_TEMPORARILY_UNAVAILABLE". Annoying really, since many of them are multiparts...

For instance this one:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Please note the FS link checker reports it as online but I cannot reach it.

OK. I had to restore the default TCPIP settings using "netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt". It is now fully working. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

Since the time I have posted I have noticed the following additional behaviour:
  • I get "Plugin error (out of date)" on the occasions I do not enter the captcha in time (does not always happen when I miss it but for it to happen I always have to miss the captcha)
  • The usual re-enable / reset option that works for other sites does not work on filesonic and the file is stuck on plugin error
  • However if I wait 24 hours (maybe less but 24 hours is a definite success) the file returns "normal" and can be downloaded in jd

Then it's an error handling issue, it should say "Captcha was not entered", but I don't know if it's possible to be implemented or not.

About the stuck, try stop all download, resume, start again.

@rmagere

If you're often missing the captchas you can try one of the many captcha audio alert solutions that have been programmed by jD's customers on this board.

Default Filesonic woes

Well, now I'm convinced there's something between Filesonic and me, some sort of emotional incompatibility.

Right now I'm downloading the same file, split in 5 parts, and as FS was so slow I decided to try downloading other parts through Megaupload.

Remember I have a Filesonic Premium account, in spite of that I'm having about 3 to 5 times more speed with Megaupload.

What is the matter, can anyone tell me?
