I know that and i dunno why...

@FlashGot
Really nice to have you here, welcome and sorry for calling it your bug.
So okay each link is decrypted by one seperate module and i cannot change this, this is how jd works!
Like i said what BID does is ddos(in my eyes) and this is very bad!

GreeZ pspzockerscene
EDIT

The decrypters:
We have many decrypters.
What they do (e.g. with the image hosting sites) is they visit the page and filter out the original links e.g. yoinsert that:
img234.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=62252_Leah_Dizon_Petite_005_122_39lo.jpg
and jd "decrypts" that:
img234.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp01fo1i-1918/loc39/62252_Leah_Dizon_Petite_005_122_39lo.jpg
which is the direct link.
Now i think (again i am not sure) that jd has a limit of maximum mudules running at the same time so that also slows it down.
What i can do about the online check is that i can set the status to "online" in the decrypter so it then takes no time to check them...do you ant me to do this with imgvenue ?

If the decrypting will be done in FlashGot instead, there needs to be an options to turn off both the decrypter and the online check. Maybe this could be 2 new options like this:
1. Turn off decrypter for direct links to Imagehosting sites.
2. Turn off online check for direct links to Imagehosting sites.

JD would sense if FlashGot has already decrypted the link and the link is thus a direct link (e.g. mg234.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=62252_Leah_Dizon_Petite_005_122_39lo .jpg vs. img234.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp01fo1i-1918/loc39/62252_Leah_Dizon_Petite_005_122_39lo.jpg).

Maybe option 1 is not even needed, the decrypter would "automatically" not be used for the direct links anyway?

@viking2
No options are needed because the decrypters only take the "crypted" links, if flashgot would send the direct links (the decrypted links) to jd it would take them as (direct)http links so nothing with the decrypters has to be changed!
...and no there is no list of all decrypters!

There is a new version of FlashGot where the links are decrypted by FlashGot. However, this does not work either as several images fails to download (similar to the situation when decrypted by JD). Here is the explanation (per FlashGot Author):

"..Imagevenue.com "final" links are timed, i.e. after "decryption" you've got a limited amount of time to download, after which they expire and you get a "404 not found" error.
BID performs the decryption just before starting the download, I guess, therefore is less constrained.
FlashGot can't, because the external download managers expect all the links in a batch and then manage the timing on their own."

Therefore, the only way to get this to work is to have JD first do the decryption and then immediately download the image, one image at a time.
Thus, I went into the Linkgrabber settings and unchecked "Check Link info and online status". I then used the previous FlashGot version (w/o the decrypter) to send the links to JD. The links showed up in Linkgrabber in a package "pic" with 3 files, all named "pic".

I clicked on "Continue with all", hoping that the files would be added to the download queue, and then each file in turn be decrypted and downloaded one-by-one. However, only the first file is downloaded, the rest gives errors (error depends on what option I set for "If file already exist" = rename or overwrite etc..).

Can this be fixed so that each file in turn is decrypted right before it is download, and w/o the error?

Thanks again for trying to get this to work!

Why is that? In my jD v.0.4. I can see the list of decrypter plug-ins, just as I can see the list of host plug-ins.

Was this feature simply lost by accident or is there any deliberate reason to keep this list more or less secret? We can of course look at the code.

Yes you can look at the code and there is a reason for this...

@viking2
I think the imgvenue direct links only work for a very very short time so i think i am gonny try it with a hosterplugin instead of a decrypter and test if that works
Stay tuned^^

@pspzockerscene,
OK, but my question was related to the fact that I get errors when I turn of "Check Link info and online status" and add the package to the download queue.
How can I turn it off and avoid the errors?

p.s. It appears to be simply related to the fact the pictures are all named "pic" in the package. It may be solved if the are named sequentially: pic1, pic2, pic3, etc... (they will be renamed after decryption anyway).

Please stop making double posts all the time!
The filename "bug" is already solved (wait for the next update).

@pspzockerscene,
I am sorry!

If you refer to my double post, I didn't realize that my post got posted twice (once before I was done typing). I am not able to delete the first one.

If you refer to me asking about the name bug again, I wasn't sure if you noticed it since I didn't get a response to that particular issue.
Sorry again.

@pspzockerscene,
BTW, thank you for fixing the Name bug. It may be all that is needed to get it to work (turning off online check and simply adding the package to the download queue to be decrypted there). Is the fixed version available as a nightly build? Can it be installed concurrently with the release version?

@pspzockerscene
Thanks for the video (I didn't realize that it was available already).
I wonder what would happen if I uncheck "Check Link info and online status"? It would speed up things in linkgrabber, but it doesn't work in the current version due to the naming "bug".

Maybe we could connect on ICQ? If OK with you please PM your ICQ#. I usually don't use ICQ so I would log on only for this purpose.

This is a copy of a feature request posted in this forum. I copy it here for completeness of this thread

(see original JD Post here: http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=12705)

============= COPY ==================
I have submitted a feature request to FlashGot:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

It would be great if FlashGot could send the page name from which the links were captured to JD! In the example above, the page name would be: "Tanya Dragon Onsky -> Leah Dizon Petite Amie"? In this way JD could set the package name for all files (images) on that page.

The response was:
You should ask JD developers first for an endpoint accepting this parameter.

If this sounds like a good idea (I think so), could a developer please communicate with the FlashGot author (Giorgio Maone - e.g. post and/or PM him from thread link above).

Forgive me for bieng very slow but am I correct in assuming that the ability to pull images from a site like Imagevenue isn't available in the most recent version of JD?

I don't see Imagevenue listed in the plugins and any files classified as "HTTP Links" aren't downloaded as the plugin is disabled.

Imagevenue has been modified from being a decrypter to being a plugin (by pspzockerscene).
Decrypters are not listed.
The modified version has not been made public yet. It is working, but it takes a very long time to check the links.
It can be speeded up by disabling the online check, but all image files would then arrive in individual packages. To circumvent this issue, FlashGot will include the package name (e.g. Page name) in the next release. This will then be implemented in JD (I hope).

@pspzockerscene

There is a new version of Flashgot where the package Name (=website Name) is passed to JDownloader. Has this feature been implemented in JD yet, and if so in what version? When will it be available for download? Is there/will there be an option to rename according to the name from Flashgot (and put all pictures in that package)?

p.s. The current JD version, 0.9.579, still doesn't work with the link above (**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**). Several images are not found. This is because the links are short-lived. Not sure if this was fixed in the current version or if the fix is in an upcoming version?

Hi

Is anyone seeing a problem with Imagevenue files? When I use Flashget to grab the links on a page, the result is all imagevenue links being shown as a JPG file named nohotlinking.jpg.

@Obsidian
If i am right this happens because flashgot got it's own decrypter so the directlinks get disabled when they're passed to jd but this is just a thought!

You can turn of flashgot linkgrabber:

about:config, create a boolean preference called flashgot.redir.imagevenue_com.enabled and set it to false.

@Obsidian,
What JD version are you running? I have v0.9.579.

Try to go here:
invisionplus.net/forums/index.php?mforum=tanyadragon2007&showtopic=22622

Select 3 images and "Flashgot - Selection". You should get 3 packages with the same name as the image files (e.g. 62267_Leah_Dizon_Petite_011_122_365lo.jpg) in the Linkgrabber.

Hi Viking2

Thank you again for your help. I have provided incorrect information.:-(

Having rechecked my information, the problem doesn't lie with imagevenue files but rather those posted to imagebam.

Hi All

Is anyone else still having problems with image hosting sites (Imagevenue, Imagebam etc.)?

I'm running JD 0.9.579 with FlashGot 1.2.1.13.

Without the config hack I get most of the links (not all) but images aren't flagged as IV. with the config hack, the links are flagged as IV but the file is listed as image.php and there is a message that the plugin is outdated.

Pardon me for my interjection,

but I was just wondering, seeing how now image hoster servers/sites are being added to the support in JDownloader, would it be possible to somehoe categorise in the "Host" list in the Setting window?

I ask this, because that way regular hosts can be seperated from image hosts, and make scrolling and searching a lot easier. Possibly use a different window for each set, or use collapse-able views (similar to what Vista has)?

Just a minor suggestion, I'm just concerned about the length of the whole Host list as of now, requires a bit of scrolling and 'squinting' to find a specific server (35 hosts currently start with "file". hope you catch my drift).

There is no need for that because actually jd doesn't support that much pichosts by plugin, many work because jd supports direct http links so you can download thinks like that without any plugin:
hxxp://board.jdownloader.org/images/logo.png

GreeZ psp
EDIT

I would like to have a little search function so search for hosts in this column!
