Default TikTok.com some videos are Failing

1. Using the profile URL no longer works. JDownloader will get literally 0 files.
Also, when it *did* work, I believe there was a problem with the infinite scroll. JDownloader would only see the first few videos.

Example: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

2. Individual video URLs work most of the time, but there are some strange edge cases. This problem is also present on the TikTok website itself.

Example: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
This is a video that *can* be watched on the profile page (which unfortunately I can't like to because it loads within the profile page). But when you go to the video page URL, it does *not* load.

Hi HydroLogic,

1. We never had a toktok profile crawler.
See e.g. HERE.

2. That URL does not work via browser either here.
Is it maybe only available for loggedin users?

1. Not sure what to say, but I clearly remember using TikTok profile URLs with JDownloader months ago and it worked ...Except for the infinite scrolling thing.

2. It works fine if the video is selected from the profile page. You do *not* need to be logged in to see it.

BUT, you're in luck. I just found another example that I can more easily show you.

Go to this profile page: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Click on the 9th video: https://i.imgur.com/vtpxoSJ.png

The video plays just fine.

Now go back to the profile page. Right click and open the 9th video in a new tab: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Doesn't work.

Hi again,

1. Sure it may have worked - but we never had a specified crawler for tiktok which means that our general crawler was simply able to find the first few tiktok URLs in the html code
... so yeah, you were just lucky.
If tiktok had hidden their content behind another http request, our parser would have never found anything.

2. You are right!
I've done some experiments but I don't see any way to get around this limitation atm. without either using their API and/or making a profile crawler.

You will have to use browser addons such as "Video DownloadHelper" to download such videos until there is a solution available for JD.

Due to the lack of example URLs for this special/edge case, I will close this ticket for now.

If you have new example URLs that can be used to reproduce this issue, please provide them so we can work on it.
