Nice to see the RC1 so soon. I was one of the users reporting a complete freeze using the linkgrabber so let me be the first to tell you that with this new version is working perfect here.
BTW, I have a question I never asked in the previous betas. How can I manually create a backup of my links? I cannot seem to find the seeting in the 0.5x series. Edit by Jiaz: will add this function to menu Last edited by Jiaz; 23.05.2009 at 01:36. |

This RC1 is very bad compared to 547.
After loading a container, I hit selected 'Add all package' and it just hangs. |

Junrar is out again, "Invalid unrar binary!" (T__T)
After a file was finished, I Got in the Status -In the Download menu- "Opening archive" and Then the next one started ! The next file was only MD5 Checked, and no extraction attempt was made for it. Code:

Still does not start under Mac OS 10.5.6.

Yes, doesn't start under OS X.
You have to put the new files into the old package and then it's working. |

Doesn't start on linux also
Hi,
The betas doesn't run in Linux (Fedora Core 10 with latest OpenJDK/Sun JRE JVMs and updates). Here is a log when launching from console: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Thanks and good work Edit by Jiaz: pls check if you have localhost in your /etc/hosts, because jd cannot resolve localhost and therefore start fails Update: Yes i have it, and the problem was fixed after playing a little with the alternatives command (I don't know what exactly has modified the situation...). Now I have another error: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** This error also is reporduced in another machine with a fresh install of Fedora 10 with updates and latest version of OpenJDK/Sun Java. This error induces to the jvm to a close-restart-close loop, and must be killed with a killall. Edit by Jiaz: fixed, will work again with next version! you can start it correctly with java -Xmx512m -jar JDownloader.jar Hope this can help. I have both machines at your request if necessary Last edited by Jiaz; 24.05.2009 at 12:39. |

Serious UI-Bug
All betas including RC1 had a serious UI bug that has to be fixed before official release:
The new "FilePackagage"-Settings where the "Save to"-patch for a package is set uses the longest path in the "Save to" history as its minimum width! This is faulty behavior and causes all kinds of problems. The buttons on the right are cut off and inaccessible as long as a long path is saved in the history. If I didn't have a second monitor I currently wouldn't even be able to access them at all. The width has to solemnly be determined by the space available in the window, too long path-names have to be cut off if necessary. |

[Solved] Junrar Issue solved
Quote:
I unticked Junrar from the "Addon manager", restarted JD, ticked Junrar again. Which somehow made JD recognize the new path for Junrar binaries. I guess this issue was caused by the fact that I overwrite every old beta with the new one, THEN rename the Folder to match the new beta name. I just like to maintain my settings & such. |

1. No exactly a bug, but I do think settings screens should have an apply and cancel button.
2. When changing max downloads in main window it doesn't update it in the download settings screen. hence, changing some other settings in this screen will reset the max downloads number to the previous value. |
