JD2 Jar Method Stopped Working
Hi folks,
I am not sure if I am using the Correct terminology, so I apologize for that. I wanted to try JD2 Beta without Installing it, so I had downloaded the JAR and somehow got it working, I can not remember my sequence. Anyway, I inserted some Links from various Hosters and tried to download them ... even Force Start them ... and NOTHING ... JD2 just sits there ... Nothing happens. Q1: What is wrong? Now, I do have a .ejs Account that gave me some Premium Hosters ... even with that ... nothing happens. Q2: Is there a Stand-alone Portable JD2 Zip file somewhere for Download? Thanks, G! |

thread subject title is miss leading....
a1) if its yours you add it when jd is closed, if not yours we do not support users using shared/hacked/stolen dbs. a2) no, because content of jd changes so much live installers are the least expensive for us. for example, you download 200meg zip and 80% is out of date, you then have to download another 160meg == 360meg. Costing you time and bandwidth and costing us bandwidth. grabbing a jar is portable, with no binaries (jdownloader.exe) loaders provided, as installers provide those.

Hi raztoki,
Thanks for taking the time to Reply. Raztoki, I couldn't think what to use for Subject Title ... please feel free to Correct as you wish. Raztoki you still did not answer my First Question ... Q1: Why when I put in Valid Link and tell JD2 start Downloading Nothing Happens? You know like JD1 does. Even Non-Premium Links. Q2: Can I have a Portable JD1 and an INSTALLED JD2 version on my laptop ... side by side? Without JD2 taking over JD1? Thanks for all of Your Help, G! |

a1) no idea without seeing logs ( How to post a log scroll down for JD2 guide.) or teamviewer session
a2) sure, they are independant applications, the only time you can have trouble is when running both at once, the first started JD will bind to API listening ports. If you start another JD whilst the first is still running, the second wont have those services.
