Default Non Unicode Characters not displaying correctly

Hi! I have a problem with displaying non unicode characters correctly in JDownloader2. I have tried changed the font to Dialog but I still see boxes in link grabber and the download list. Also tried other fonts to no avail. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Do you still have the issue? What is your OS language? Can you please show screenshot of the About Dialog of JDownloader?

It seems your JDownloader is very old? It is installed in old/outdated Progam Files folder and has very old Java Version.
I suggest you install again with installer from http://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2 and check if it works then. In case yes, we can help/guide you to copy/move over your links/settings.

Looks like the required Fonts are not installed on your system. Maybe we can do a teamviewer session so we can check what fonts are installed/missing and either install the missing or choose a different than Dialog

You can try the following

Dialog
DialogInput
Monospaced
Serif
SansSerif

I tried everything listed and I still see boxes. Here is a screenshot of my installed fonts.

I would like to do a teamviewer session so we can check this together. Please send an e-mail to support@jdownloader.org so we can schedule a teamviewer meeting.

Did you change the JDownloader theme in advanced settings? To me the screenshots don't look like the default theme?

Use 'Arial Unicode MS' as font name.

Hey Jiaz. It worked after I installed and switched to that font! Thank you! Is this the only font that will work?

Here you can find more info about unicode fonts
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode_font
Chars/Glyphs colums shows how many unicode chars are supported.

Thanks for the feedback!
