Problem with filenames
Hello. It is not possible to have "?" or ":" in a filename, or a filename beginning with a dot ? With a Microsoft OS, it's logic, but not with a Unix OS...
A file named ".fjdkqslmfjklm : fdjksqlfmjqdsmkl ?.zip" will be downloaded as "fjdkqslmfjklm fdjksqlfmjqdsmkl .zip" or "fjdkqslmfjklm _ fdjksqlfmjqdsmkl _.zip". It's a very easy to reproduce bug. |

@bobolecoco: We've decided to replace all *forbidden* chars from all supported OS to avoid any compatibility/portability issue (eg mounting windows network share on linux doesn't allow you to use those chars, or moving downloaded files to different OS/filesystem)
Right now there is no way to disable this behaviour

Can we have a list of all these forbidden chars? Does it include the + sign?
I must say, this is a bit draconian! Surely a flag or switch to enable / disable the behaviour would be sufficient? It's broken my system of moving and renaming files... |

No that's not planned.
No. * you think that it is. It it not intended to be draconian. Quote:

Sorry for delay in replying. I forgot to request an email response. ( Is it possible to autosubscribe to a post you submit? )
Many thanks for the info, I was able to devise a renaming system, but I did not know about the advanced settings! |
